Gilbert LEWIN

LEWIN, Gilbert 66, died at Petaluma Valley Hospital on May 30th, 2015. Gil was born Fernando Gilberto Trujillo Zayas to his parents Ernesto & Consuelo in Mexico City on May 7th 1949. He came to the U.S. with his family in August of 1956 at the age of six. Gil attended Terra Linda High School and served in the U.S. Army (1966 - 1969) where he finished his GED high school requirements. After returning home he graduated from SF City College and graduated from Santa Rosa JC as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. He became an excellent journeyman cabinetmaker. He loved his Giants and 49ers. His favorite pastime was loving and caring for his dog, Boo, and his tropical fish. Gil leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Christine; brothers, Ernest (Reyna) and Mario Lewin; nephews, Ernest, Jr., David and Michael Lewin; niece, Skye (Douglas) Jensen; nephews, Mario Lewin, Jr. and Gabriel Butler. He also leaves his half-sisters, Rosa Maria, Marissa and Georgina Trujillo in Curnevaca, MX, along with countless nephews, nieces and cousins in Mexico. He is preceded in death by sister, Marcela Warden; mother, Connie Noller; and father, Ernesto Trujillo. The family loves and misses you. You are the wings beneath my wings - I'll Love You Forever.
