I listened to Mr. Grady every morning until he left KSRO. I remember on my birthday, 7.7.77 he said those born this day were lucky, and, being late to work that day I thought, yea, I'm sure lucky. I golfed with him at a fund raising event to purchase stadium lights for Elsie Allen H.S. Jim Grady was a Sonoma County icon. My sympathy to his family and friends.
How blessed we all are to have shared him with you ..He will be missed
I used to listen to Jim (Shamus O'Grady) in Seattle when I was a little girl, what a joy it was to find him in Santa Rosa while I lived there. He was a joy! He will be missed.
To all of the Grady family, how lucky we were to beable to share such a remarkable person in our lifes for so many years. When Jim walked into a room right away it would glow with excitment and jokes. The radio waves of this country will never be the same, thank you, "The Grady family " for sharing your love one with us for so many years and all of our love and prays are with you.
Dear Carol and Family, please accept my deepest sympathy. Jim was a great friend to so many and made early morning rising and the ride to work just a little easier, especially when he joked about/with nearly everyone we knew!! Truly a sweet guy that will be forever missed.
Sincerely, Anna Granneman

My condolences to Carol on the loss of her husband, partner and Great Friend. He had a wonderful life in all the important ways, and he had a great sense of humor. Jim will be deeply missed. Sorry I'm unable to attend the commemoration service. I wish I could be there to remember Jim and to hear all of the wonderful and entertaining stories about his life and times.
I have to work on Saturday mornings and drive a lot from store to store, I really loved hearing all those stories he would tell. He made working on Saturday a lot nicer. I am sorry he is gone and will miss him for ever. God bless his family!
My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of their loved one. Jim always had time for everyone. Jim and Dan DeCarly are probable swapping stories now! There is not a facility in Sonoma county large enough to have a gathering for Jim...
I really liked listening to him and I really miss him.
Sending condolences to the Grady family. I remember Mr. Grady and my dad "harassing" each other on the phone during his morning radio show. What a couple of characters. God has his hands full with those two!
Last time I saw him was at Claus Newman's memorial concert. He was his jovial self holding court at the back of the room where I was seated. I had never met him before, but he included me in the conversation like we had been old friends forever. The voice of Sonoma County has gone silent.
To the Grady Family: I have nothing but great memories of Mr. Grady growing up on Washoe Court. He was a wonderful soul. My prayers and thoughts are with you all with this great loss. Blessings to you all.
A truely wonderful man. He will never be forgotten.
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
We love you and wish we could be with you, to comfort you now. We are so sorry with Jimmy's passing, it's a terrible loss. We love both of you very much and we will miss Jimmy deeply. We shared many wonderful times together and we will miss those times, but we will share many new good times together with you in the future. We know you and your family are hurting now, and you need time. We share your grief and loss, and we're hurting too! We'll pray for you, Jimmy, your children and your grandchildren. Please know you have our love and support. And we hope to see you soon. We Love You!
