I will always remember the kindness in Jere's smile and his gentleness when he spoke. I think Jere was a true earth angel. I do not know of anyone else like him.

I send my heartfelt condolences to the Melo family. I worked with Jere on the Animal Shelter Committee. Jere's patience and wisdom shone through every step of the way. He will be missed far and wide. What a lovely ceremony. I am sure Jere was smiling down on everyone that day.
