thank you brave soldier for your honorable service to a greatful nation that will forever mourn you and be in your debt. So many brave HEROES like yourself have paid the ultimate price to protect the vary core of what America was built on and we as a nation will never forget you. I stand tall and salute you Jake and know that I will think of you daily along with my nephew PFC Aaron J. Ward who also volunteered to serve and was KIA on 5/6/08 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. You are in good company with Aaron and so many great heroes. My final promise to Aaron was to never forget him and his fellow fallen brothers in arms
Velloza family please know that you are not alone and Jake will never be forgotten. Soldiers are HEROES and HEROES never die, they just muster at a separate rally point and move to the next objective! Jake and my nephew are now guarding the gates of heaven and one day they will greet us when we join them. From one Gold Star family to another god bless and we will keep Jake and your family in our thoughts & prayers. I have written in every guest book since the loss of our HERO and I will add his photo. I do this to honor my nephew but also to let you know Jake is not alone and with our Aaron. I encourage you to ad a photo of Jake to PFC Aaron J. Ward 's page. Please accept my heart felt condolence and if you ever need to talk just write for my number. May the memories of your HERO carry you through the day and help your family cope with this tragic loss.

To the parents and family, I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to hold your hand as He gives comfort to you today and for the rest of your life.

Sending love and healing thoughts to the family of Jake Velloza. Our son and Jake were school mates...from their youngest years through high school. We remember many soccer and little league games, parties, events, and so many other memorable times with this fine young man. Our community will miss Jake very much. God Bless your courage, Dear Jake. Rest now. You deserve the peace of God. Blessings to your mother, father, and grandparents.

My Deepest and Most Heartfelt Sympathy goes out to the family of Spc. Jake R. Velloza, with a Multitude of Thanks for this Brave Young Soldier's Courage, Dedication and Service to our Country and for Freedom.

The price Jake and his family have paid, Will Never Be Forgotten. May he Rest Safely, in God's Care and may the Peace of God be with the Velloza family.
I am the Sister of such a young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago

"Surely He hath borne our grief,
And carried our sorrows."
~ Isaiah 53:4 ~

May you find comfort and strength, in the beautiful memories of times spent with your young Hero and quietly and gently, may healing come, with each new day.
You are in my thoughts and my prayers.
