Dear Mike and family... You were a mentor to me in my early years.. I just heard the news... My heart goes out to his wife and kids... I knew them all years ago and I know things changed for them all but never expected to hear of this. =( Mike will always be rememebered by me. It was because of his strength and success that I made it through my early 20's.. He was a "tough cookie" so to speak but he was always good to me. I'm so sad... No matter how hard life gets we mustn't give up hope. He's lost but never forgotten. And will be remember by me for the rest of my life in the most positive ways.. My heart goes out to little ruby and Tessa.. I know they were his everything. I dnt know if they'd all remember me but I met them many time..

I hope that you found peace, Michael. Thinking of you and sending my prayers to your family.

I'm very very sad to hear of Mike's passing. He really was a deeply feeling person, and had a way of making people feel special . I haven't seen him since HS but I can still clearly see his sprint down the track ,his walk that was a true swagger , and his slight grin with those sparkly eyes .... Ruby, it sounds like he grew up to be a fine man and someone proud to call Dad ...There really is nothing greater to aspire for ... Wishing his family peace and love

Still can't believe it's happening. You're gone. My hero, my bestfriend, my everything. I love you more then words can express dad. And I visit this site almost everyday just because I miss you so much. You taught me everything I know.. I have so many built up emotions I can't begin to explain I want to break down all the time:( lately I'm constantly hyperventilating just trying to grasp this.. I know you don't like it when I cry but I can't help it, I need you to hug away the pain like you always do. Daddy the best thing you ever taught me was to Never Give Up on anything I want in life. You taught me to fight the good fight. I will make you proud pop. I know you will live on, I know you can here me when I talk to you. I know you're watching everything I do. I know you will forever be with me.& forever I'm missin you. You were the greatest man I knew. The most special, amazing, loving, best father in the whole world. Always in my heart whenever I go no matter how far.. - your little soldier we love you so so much

My opinions of how a boyfriend should treat a girl were formulated by the kind, respectful boy that I knew in 8th-9th grade. By the time we were in our early 20's, I lost track of Michael but I can only imagine what a loving and doting father and husband he must have been. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. He was taken too soon.
