My deepest condolences to the Willard family. I have always admired Greg's tenacity to work hard and achieve his dream of becoming an NBA ref. I often remember the many friendly pickup games Greg volunteered to ref while we were in high school. As a proud father of another Edison graduate, I have always been proud to share these memories with my son and point to Greg as someone I personally knew who worked hard and achieved success and the respect of his peers. Greg will be greatly missed. (Edison Grad 1977)

What can be said about this man that would be new to anyone that knew him. Greg was an amazing man that cared about everyone around him more than himself. I had the honor to work with Greg before he made it to the NBA and he was thrilled to get the chance to ref in the big league but we all know that he lived his entire life in the Big League. He was a true champion for all of us and will be missed by all.
My deepest sympathy to Laurie and the kids.

My heart felt sympathy goes out to the Willard Family. I knew Greg in college when he first started out on his quest in "officiating." He was always most comfortable "on the court." He was always a gentleman, kind and deeply caring for all who crossed his path. I am proud to of shared a piece of life with him. May the comfort and peace of God be with you always.
