Bruce taught me that you do not have to wait until death to find ... "heaven" . He showed me what heaven on earth was like. During the past few years I was fortunate enough to share with him, we shared peace, tranquility, and stillness of mind and spirit, everyday. Despite his pain and struggles he found an amazing way to stay " present". He shared with me his "hints of heaven" . He was alive! As He sat in sunshine and moon light he connected with nature naturally. He shared the birds songs, scents of flowers, colors of trees, feel of the wind, beauty of stars and scents of the sea. He fought a courageous battle with dignity and patience. Although he did not want to leave the heaven on earth he found, it was his time to go. He waited patiently until he reached his final destination - his beloved Metis- his family, and old friends. As I look to ahead to my life without him I walk in a fog. But I am fortunate to walk in the light of his love to clear my path. I will let his memory of love and life light my way until the fog disappears and the light house beacons me home with him forever in heaven. My love forever, Robin

It is with deep sadness that I learned of Bruce's passing. I wish to express my condolences to Robin and Bruce's family. I had the opportunity to get to know Bruce at GCC. As I think back I begin to realize how much time the two of us spent together; we were members on the X-country running and ski teams, along with the track team. Almost everyday we would train or compete together; needless to say, there was lots of laughter and fun. When we weren't doing sports, we were always involved in something back stage; morning walks down the driveway, late night studying in the dining hall and lots of dish and pot duties or sneaking down to the kitchen for late night food raids. Most importantly we got to talk and be real with where we were at. We had an opportunity to reconnect at one of the GCC reunions and rekindled that friendship as if no time had passed. It saddens me that we did not get to meet again, but I look forward to meeting him in heaven and maybe we'll go for a run. Robin, may God comfort you and the other members of the family as you mourn his passing. My hope is that you look forward to seeing him once again. Bruce, I am deeply appreciative of the memories we had - goodbye my friend in Christ til we meet again.

Robin, I am very sorry for your loss. Bruce was a wonderful man; kind, caring, compassionate and funny. He made me feel special every time I spent with you in your home. His love and admiration for you was unequivocal. Please extend my condolences to Bruce's family. I miss my friend Bruce, a gentleman who brought joy to those he loved.

I was part of a contractor team that hired Bruce to work at the Naval Station in Newport back in the year 2000. Bruce took over the contractor team managerial duties from me at that time, allowing me to return to manage my primary site in Groton, CT. Bruce was always a helpful and esteemed colleague of mine, including helping me retain my job 10 years after I hired him when my site suffered a crisis. I will always be grateful to Bruce for his contributions to my career not to mention his warm and genuine nature. My condolences to all of you who love and were close to him.
