Knowing Sue was to be truly blessed by her loving and supporting nature. She will be deeply missed. May God hold you all in his loving arms, to guide you through this terrible loss. May you find comfort in her blessed memory.
Hi, I am Heidi Furtado, I knew Susan and Alli from Bonnet Shores. Ali and my daughter played together. I have been calling susan since Npvember to get together, She was the best mother I have ever known. She lived every day for her daughter Ali. She fought and fought and fought for ali every day. I just found out, I cannot believe she is really gone. I don't understand why God would take such a beautiful angel and Mother. The Time we spent together, she was alway saying, I am fighting this for Ali. She was so courageous, alway being positive for Ali, Never ever feeling bad for herself. I will miss her forever. If her mom and dad need Ali to play with my Alexandra we are always here for youl Love you Susan and will never forget how hard you fought for your daughter. Love Heidi Furtado

I had Professor Cox for a few classes starting my freshman year of college. Her energy and passion for what she did was contagious and influential. She is one of those few and rare people in life that you never forget. Her love for her career and independence was admiring, but what was even more admiring was the love she had for her husband and her daughter. Susan's family will be in my prayers but never forget the influence and impact she made to all of her students and everyone around her.
Clint, Ali, Marissa & Ashley,
My deepest sympathy. You are all in my prayers to find the strength to continue to live with her absence and preserve all of your wonderful memories. I'm sure she will forever watch over you and smile down upon each of you!

On behalf of the Deragon Family, I want to express our sincere condolences to the Cox and Rosbottom Families. I am Joan's cousin and my mother is her aunt. I believe my mother met Susan once but no one else had the pleasure. May God bless you all.
Rest in peace my friend. Watch over us and guide us. We will always think of you with a smile.
Professor Cox was a great teacher, it just saddens me that she had to part from this world so soon. My deepest sympathy and prayers go to all of her family.
Heartfelt sympathies to Sue's family and many friends at JWU. Her legacy as a wonderful teacher and mentor will live on in those whose lives were touched by her inspiration.
Many, many years ago, I meant Sue when I was a 17 year old, away from home for the first time, really struggling. She was the first person I felt I could say anything to and she heard me, really really heard me. Our interactions were few, but she touched my life profoundly and I have thought of her fondly over the years. I am so saddened to hear of her passing.
Sue was an amazing friend, but most of all an amazing mother to Ali. We will always remember her beautiful smile and the fun times we shared with her over the past few years. We will always cherish those memories and know that she will be with us all in spirit, especially during the holidays as a Christmas Angel. Our prayers and thoughts are with Clint, Ali and Sue's family. You will forever be loved and missed!

I am so saddened by this news! Suasan Cox was not only one of the best professors but such a beautiful and inspirational Role model for her students including me! May god bless her.
Sue always had a beautiful smile, a great laugh was a wonderful friend, and one of the strongest people I will ever know. She always looked at the positive and made plans on how to move forward. Her daughter Ali is the love of her life. From this point on Ali will always have her mother watching over her and guiding her through Heaven. Sue will be deeply missed, but the memories of Sue and Ali together will always be in my mind and heart.
Sue, to my dear friend. I light a candle and it will always stay lit in my heart.

I too lost my mother to cancer on Christmas Day, 2002. At first my six siblings and I thought.... please not on Christmas. But we immediately came to terms with it for we realized that our mother passed on the holiest day of the year. How fitting for such a wonderful mother and such a truly beautiful soul. My siblings and I do not have good memories of Christmas 2002 but we have great memories of each Christmas thereafter. We do not dwell on the anniversay of her passing. She would not have wanted that. God Bless you and I hope you will eventually find some comfort that your mother also passed on such a blessed day.
A Daughter ~
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
