ABBENANTE, JOHN N. 69, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. He was born in Providence, the son of the late John A. Abbenante and Anna (Johnson) Francis. Mr. Abbenante was employed at Raytheon for 50 years until his retirement. John was also an Army veteran. He is survived by his loving sister Sandra Plourde and her husband Joe of Suffield, CT, his nieces, Catherine Smith, Donna Sirenski, Debbie Nicholson and his nephew, Jeff Plourde. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday morning 9-10 am. Visit nardolillo.com for online condolences. Condolences To the Abbenante family. John was a classmate and friend going back 50 years. He was a good man and will be remembered. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to John's family. I worked with John at Raytheon. He was a wonderful man; always upbeat and a good worker ... a genuinely nice person. God bless.
