This man was the closest I´ll ever come to meeting a Saint. When I was younger and my parents were going through a divorce I acted out got into trouble over and over. I met brother John at court and he would come to my house check up on me made sure I was going to school and doing the right things. Then I got into trouble again and sentenced for a long time in training school. Brother John showed up to my court hearing and told the judge my situation and they let me go to Ocean Tides. I would have never made up my credits to pass and went to collage if it wasn´t for ocean tides. God bless brother John RIP

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of Brother John. He was the kindness man and truly cared about all of the students at Ocean Tides. Through the years we had many discussions about helping some of these troubled youths and he did more than his part in positively effecting their lives. He leaves us with his love, wisdom and pure kindness as his legacy. His presence will be missed but the memories of this wonderful person will live on.
God has blessed you, Brother John.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

I loved Brother John. I kept in contact with him through the years by phone and letters. I knew he wasn't doing too well in the last couple. I will miss him.
