I the mother of Lcpl Caleb Hayes, my son Caleb was a friend of Kyle's, the were in boot camp together. When Caleb heard of this Marine's death he and I were both saddened deeply. Caleb had nothing but great things to say about him. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but to hear Caleb talk of him he was a great friend and an awesome Marine.
I know that there are no words that can take away or help with the pain that your family is dealing with. Just know that your family are in our prayers and I pray that God will wrap you in his arms and cradle you in his love as you face the tough days ahead. He is our hero, he fought for this country and has made us and the Marine Corp proud.
God bless your family, you will forever be in our prayers.

I am the mother of Lcpl Cody Johnson. I found this guest book on facebook through my facebook friend and Marine mom Kim Richardson. This is the very first one I have signed and sadly I know that I will sign more.

There are no words to express my heart felt sympathy for your family. Your Marine was not alone as I know many of the Marine families realize. Our son's and daughters have so many other brave men and women that support them and share their love for their country and job. My hope is that you find a way to make it through the tough days ahead and lean on one another. God Bless and keep your family in the days ahead and you are never alone.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Kyle will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

Dear Melissa & Family,
Although we haven't known each other long, the day you were here, and spoke of Kyle, the love for him just exuded from you. I could tell he was the love of your life & the source of your pride & joy. My heart aches for your loss but is also filled with love and appreciation for his service to our country. He (and you) has given the greatest sacrifice for which our country is eternally grateful. I'm a stone's throw away if you ever need anything.
With much love, sympathy & respect.
