MORANCEY, LINDA A. of Barton Street died Sunday at home. She was the daughter of Laura Morancey of Smithfield and the late Charles H. Morancey. Linda was a mail room clerk for Blue Cross RI until retiring in 2008 and previously worked for Mine Safety in quality control and was floor manager at Koch. Besides her mother, she is survived by her siblings, Stephen Morancey of Smithfield, Sandra Truppi of Johnston and Charles Morancey, Jr. of Providence. Funeral service Friday at 11:30am in Highland Park Chapel, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston. Visitation Thursday 4-7 PM in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. Dear family, so sorry for your loss,I was a good friend to Linda growing up i have great memories of us in our teens to bad we did not keep in touch i am so mad right now and miss her so much. we would of had a lot of catching up to do it has been 38 years since i last saw her and now i won't get the chance.my dear friend Linda I will miss u always.peace be with u and your family at this sad time. a.f.a. now they say b.f.f. Deepest sympathy from Florida. Though I haven't lived in Rhode Island in over 30 years, family is family. Linda and my late father, Leo, as well as his 2 sisters, were cousins. I know she will be missed.
