Stopped by on your birth date to let you know you are remembered, missed, and loved.

I don't remember meeting my Aunt Marcia, but I have a vivid recollection of her photo hanging in the house on Priscilla Avenue. I think it might have been her graduation photo from her nursing course. Both Grandma and Grandpa were clearly very proud of her as, over the years, while other photos came and went, that one stayed firmly anchored. I asked my mum, who was also a nurse, if she had any recollections of Marcia. She told me that she had only chatted to her a few times when the family visited the East coast in 63 or 64. My mum looked after David and Debbie one evening, along with her own three, while everyone went to Massachusetts for a family gathering. Mum said that Marcia was kind and she could still remember her gentle manner after half a century. Although she has gone, I hope there is some small comfort in hearing that someone 6000 miles and 50 years away recalls the younger Marcia.

Remembering you, my darling, with this picture I took of you at one of your favorite places, the Peaks of Otter Lodge on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I loved you when I met you, I loved you when I took the picture, I loved you then & I always will, forever
