SAUNDERS, HOBART C., II, 70, of Lockwood St., died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was the husband of Justina A. (Bell) Saunders for 49 years. Born in Branford, CT, he was a son of the late Hobart C. and Louella H. (Russell) Saunders. Hobart was a repair technician for 32 years at Sears & Roebuck before retiring in 2001. He later worked at Home Depot in Warwick. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Hobart was an avid outdoorsman. He was the father of Lauri A. Messier and Hobart C. Saunders III, both of West Warwick; brother of Perry C. Saunders of North Hampton, NH, Marsha J. Davis of Coventry, and the late Elizabeth G. and John C. Saunders; grandfather of Joelle and Dutch Saunders, Henri and Lily Messier. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 - 7 pm, with a Service at 7 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry. iannottifh.com
