CONWAY, ROBERT E. 82, of Cowesett Rd., passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Brentwood Nursing Home. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James and Vera (Pace) Conway. Robert was employed at Tollgate High School for over 18 years before retiring in 1996. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards at the senior centers, the Boston Red Sox and Providence College Basketball. He was the brother of Dorothy W. Dolan of Warwick, Edna V. Cavagnaro of El Dorado Hills, CA, Joyce B. Cooney of Warwick and the late Gordon L. Conway and James R. Conway. Robert is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A private committal service with military honors will be at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted; donations to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) will be appreciated. Arrangements by the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry. iannottifh.com
