MONIZ, MARY A. (RYAN)
73 of Rehoboth passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Mount St. Rita Health Center. Born in Pawtucket, RI she was a daughter of the late Laurence E. and Dorothy A. (Clark) Ryan.
Mary worked as a Payroll Professional for AAA for many years before retiring in 2015. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church where she was a member of the St. Mary's Prayer Group, as well as an active volunteer for many of the church's social events.
She is survived by two daughters Lisa McNally of North Providence, Lori Medeiros and her husband Scott of Rehoboth, five brothers and sisters Laurence E. Ryan of East Providence, Patricia DeFusco of Cranston, Dorothy Ryan of Seekonk, Susan McGarry of Cranston, Joanne Lanning of Rumford, three grandchildren Rachel and Taylor Medeiros, Shannon McNally, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas Ryan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 7, 2017 at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk, MA. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday from 4-7 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to ALS Association RI Chapter, 2374 Post Rd. #103, Warwick, RI 02886.

My heart is heavy on hearing of the passing of my dear friend, Mary. We shared many cups of morning coffee together.
She was always ready with a smile and a kind word. She will certainly be missed by all of us that were lucky enough to call her friend.
