We just heard the sad news of Tommy's passing. We always looked forward to his visits and his special way he had with our horses. He will be truly missed.

Tommy always got out of his truck with a huge iced coffee, a box of donuts and the question "Any moose stories?". I had one cross the road by the farm right in front of me and immediately thought of Tommy. He was a great horseman, a great preson and my friend and i will miss him, his smile and laugh and the twinkle in his eye.

My horse lives at home with me in Guilford, VT and that was how I knew Tommy. A more fabulous, friendly, funny person never lived. I can't believe that I won't be seeing him again.

I am from a barn in Bristol, WI, our trainer is Bill Clements and we just found out about your (and our) loss. I was looking forward to Mother's Day because Tommy always came around that time and would brightened up the day at our barn. He will be greatly missed. He was an exceptional man and I not only laughed a lot during his stay I learned a lot about horses and their teeth. He was honest and trustworthy....a one in a million...and he will be greatly missed. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I just found out and I am so sorry for your loss Michelle and River. Tommy always told us stories and shared pictures of you. Words can not express how much he will be missed. I know you don't know me, I am the one Tommy got the Lego from. He worked on our horses every spring for the last 11 years. I wish I could have learned of this earlier and I would have come to pay my last respects. My heart and prayers are with you. Tommy will be forever missed.

I just learned of Tommy's passing and I am truly shocked. I have so many great memories of Tommy from Smithfield, most of all his smile and that chuckle he always had. I can't begin to know the loss the whole Gagnon family is feeling. My thoughts and prayer are with you all and for my old friend, Tommy...may you rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to Tommy's family and to those who loved him. He had a wondeful kind way with horses and humans and the loss is immense. We will miss his lovely presence at the barn for years to come.

February 21, 2013

Tommy never met a horse that didn't end up falling in love with him...including my 3 big Clydesdales! Everyone at the barn looked forward to his visit because he always made it fun and relaxing for both humans and horses. He had an uncanny way to make you smile and laugh. Even though I only knew Tommy a few years, I will always remember him. We, at KW Clydes and Riverside Ranch, are better for knowing him and send your deepest sympathies for losing such a great person too soon.

I remember Tommy from our SHS Class of 1974 days. He was a very nice man then, and as evidenced by these many comments, he remained so and went on to touch many lives. A life clearly well lived, yet too short.
My sympathy to his loved ones.
May Tom rest in peace.

My fondest memories of Tommy were the many poor people parties we shared together, laughing, drinking, and enjoying life. My husband passed away two years ago and I'm hoping he and Tommy are having a scotch again together. Will miss him - but I am sure he is in good hands

I always looked forward to Tommy's visits at our barn in Illinois. Loved his horsey insights and dry humor. I often helped him go "dental" through the barn. What a patient man with equine and human residents. Tommy, I am so sad, but your are fondly remembered at our barn! (Red Roses Farm)

Just heard the sad news tonight.
I am so shocked and saddened by Tommy's passing. I will miss this special man and never forget him. I feel like I am a better person for having known him.
Tommy brought joy and laughter to every barn he visited. No one could keep from smiling and forgetting their troubles when Tom was present.
The horses trusted and truly connected on a level rarely seen with other handlers. Mr. Gagnon was a gifted horseman.

My sincere condolences to his family. He spoke glowingly of you all, and always looked forward to returning home to you.

We so looked forward to his visits, and will feel his absence this year and for years to come.

Oh Michelle! Hearing this heartbreaking news cannot be expressed in words, but I have to try. Tommy was one of the nicest people I have had the honor of meeting in my life. He would always get me in trouble @ the shop because we would chat the whole time he was there. We always had so much fun talking and joking. I loved hearing about his trips to RI, and out west to the Rodeo. He was so funny telling me about meeting Rupert! God, he will be missed by so many!
