I climbed 110 stories for the 9/11 Memorial Stair climb in Denver, Colorado and I wore a picture of Thomas while I climbed. I just wanted to say we will never forget the sacrifice that was made on that day.

Blessings

I climbed 110 stories in memory of Thomas Butler this past Sunday in St. Louis, MO for the annual 9/11 stair climb. It was an honor to participate in such a humbling event. I am thinking of Thomas today along with the rest of the fire fighters who bravely gave their lives 13 years ago.

I met him at a Navy Training Class in New Orleans in May 1999. We were both fireman. I thought of him that dreadful day hoping he was safe. Then finding out later that he was there only made it worse. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family on this day as we remember that terrible event. God Bless.

I didn't know you personally, but both my parents did. They always told me how fun loving you were. When we went to the 9/11 memorial this summer, my dad saw your name and cried. My heart broke. You are truly inspiring.

Thank you for lending me your strength and courage for today.

I did not know you, but I just visited the memorial fountain, I placed my hand in the healing water, & ran it over your name, I did this to connect with your spirit, so you would not be forgotten. So I found you, & I wanted to honor that. God bless your for your bravery & service, & God bless the family that misses you... WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

I think of you and your family often, I was so honored to present your flag to them at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial in 2002 ~ May this find them doing well ~ my wife, Christine and I send our thoughts and prayers to you each and every day.

Hey Tom,

I'm wearing the tee shirt that you gave me and you designed for us for the Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 204.
The memories of the short time we shared still brings a great smile to my face. I couldn't have had a better crew that was quick witted, stone bashers, and loved life more than you guys.
I keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. All life must end. Yours was too short. "I love you man!" I still smile when I hear your response of "Love you more Chief!" I wish we could share another smoke.
God Bless you Brother!
