Mr. Hockersmith will always be an unforgettable presence from days of geometry class at Camp Hill High School. We girls sat quaking in dread of seeing the 2++ or 1-- or 3--- (best we could hope for)on quiz or test; the angles were confusing because we were pre-occupied with Mr. Hockersmith's All-American good looks, the figure he cut in a suit, his commanding voice, mastery of math and discipline. Wow! We were and are still impressed. There's a myth that all men named Fred are trustworthy and throughly good...you're proof of the equation, Mr. Hockersmith!
Thank you, great teacher.

I took a class from Fred when I was a student at the Ship in the 70s. He was great, one of the people over 30 you could trust back in those days. RIP Dr. Hockersmith.

With Fred, somewhere between the libations, there was always a lesson to be learned...most of the time it was a lesson on what not to do! Or how to fix it! Either way we never got cheated.
Gonna miss you Fred!

I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was a natural teacher and his courses have created many long lasting memories.
