To Rachel's family and friends:
I too was stationed at the Abu Ghraib police station that night that Rachel's life was taken. I will always remember her quiet ways, always greeting you with a smile. I only wished that I could have known her for a while longer. She is remembered often, and missed dearly by all who's lives she touched. "Enforcer #1"

I had the honor of helping prepare the memorial service for PFC Bosveld at our headquarters in Iraq. When it was all said and done there had to be 3000 people there that day. From Private to General, American and Iraqi Police Officers. This took a chunk out of our hearts to say the least and I'll never forget the fond words of her close friends that day. My second year in Iraq I had an opportunity to visit a soldiers rest and recoupperation center in Iraq and to my amazement an entire building stood in honor of our fallen comrade called "The Bosveld Building." A plaque stands for all soldiers to see, honoring PFC Rachel Bosvelds memory. I cried as I read it.

Rachel was my 2nd cousin as her mother is my 1st cousin . My Grandma Katy had shared pictures with me when she would go visit their family . I was saddened that I never got to meet her in person . I served my country from 1973 to 1977 then again from 1983 to 1988 in the Army . My husband Tom is a retired ranger from the US Army . We want her family to know we think of her often and I have a picture of her on our list at yahoo. Love Donna and Tom Brizendine

I spent one summer with rachel at a sleepover in a backyard of one of our friends...We didn't talk much only because i was a very shy person but I can remember how nice she was...When i heard word that Rachel had passed I felt my heart drop into my stomach...It made me think about life and how precious it is...and about high school when i used to see her in the halls and never once did she not have a smile on her face...Rachel was a very sweet girl and I wish she could be home with her family today...Rachel will never be forgotten and will be greatly missed...everytime i think of her smiling face i know it will make me smile...my sympathy goes to her family and hope they always hold on to how proud of her they are and always have a smile on their face when they think of her...Rachel we all love you and pray someday we can all be with you and walk with you through all eternity...may you watch over your loved ones and protect them as you fought to protect all of us...we thank you...Amen
