Ralph was a great friend to my parents. It was my grandfather, Bob Bodkin, who taught him to play baseball. My grandmother took care of him when he was very young & his mother worked. He always referred to my grandma as his second mother and came to her 96th birthday party. He was always kind & thoughtful. I remember visiting him & DiAnn at their CA desert home. Just a year before he passed away, he sent my Dad a 100th birthday card - so thoughtful! We were honored to know him.

Mr Kiner was who all us DuBois PA Little Leaguers wanted to be. He graciously shook our small hands and talked with us. I am 73 years old now and remember the exciting trip to Forbes Field and meeting him. We all loved him.

I loved Ralph. He was the love of my mom's life (DiAnn Kiner) and was like a dad to me. The world is a little dimmer now without them both.
