Mr Kiner was who all us DuBois PA Little Leaguers wanted to be. He graciously shook our small hands and talked with us. I am 73 years old now and remember the exciting trip to Forbes Field and meeting him. We all loved him.

I loved Ralph. He was the love of my mom's life (DiAnn Kiner) and was like a dad to me. The world is a little dimmer now without them both.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My mom and her brothers attended Alhambra High School with Ralph and Max West. Was able to meet him when my parents took me to Kiner & West spotting goods store in Alhambra. Meeting him and following box scores of Pittsburg games started be on a lifetime love of baseball. My condolences to the family

First off Ralph, let me say that you were one of a kind, in the greatest of ways! I am 48 and a Mets fan and I grew up with you. I remember when you had Tom Seaver on Kiners Korner(which I cassette taped) many times including my first one that I remember, the labor day game from 1975 after Seaver had won and beat the Pirates and struck out Sanguillen, for his 8th srtaight year with 200 or more K's. It is those memories that started a lifetime of great ones from you and I continued to enjoy and savor whenever you were on and made appearances through September of 2013. I had the pleasure of meeting you several occasions and signing baseballs for me so gracisously I may add.You were a first class act! You had a great career as well and you will be in the Hall of Fame in heaven as well. Sympathy to your entire family and may you rest in peace. You will never ever be forgotten and you will always be with us, although things will never be the same without you physically here.I will honor you in my baseball league that I play in still, to this day, by this year, wearing a commerative patch in tribute to you!

Rest in Peace Ralph; I feel honored to have known you. The time I spent with you and Diann makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. My entire family mourns your loss- as an athlete and broadcaster, but far more importantly, as a very special man whose kindness touched all those around him. In fact, I spent this entire morning telling my daughter (8 years old, as I was when I first met you) about a true friend that neither of us will ever forget. Rest well dear friend, you've earned it. See you one day on the other side.

My deepest condolences to the Kiner family, friends and supporters. It is terrible to loose a loved one to death. May you draw close to the God of all comfort Ps 145:18.

Ralph was my boyhood idol and role model. Even though a native Californian, I followed Ralph every day. I wish I still had my Ralph Kiner bat. I saw him play in a spring training game in Stockton, CA, in 1946 against New York Giants. Ralph has always been an inspiration tome.
