Rest in peace, Ray. My deepest sympathies to Joyce, Tony and the rest of the family. I was fortunate to know you and your family through my parents' involvement with the old McCarron's Elementary Friday night volleyball group in the 1960s.

Rsy was a very gifted man who was blessed with a marvelous sense of humor - funny even to a young lad like myself - that I still remember 40 years later. Somehow, I never knew or had forgotten he had created that Twins logo. To me, his greatest work was the skilled caricature he drew of my parents (Quentin and Dorothy Brandt) and the hilarious farewell poem that accompanied it when we moved to Wisconsin in 1969. A classic that adorned my parents' homes for decades...

Hey Ray - Even this White Sox fan has always liked that logo and I'm happy it has endured for so long. The style takes me back to being a kid and the cartoons on the back side of baseball cards. Rest in eternal bliss, Ray. Your talent remains with us.
