Christopher Waker Obituary
Christopher S. Waker, 49, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Sept. 20, 2013. He was born in Croy-don, England and resided in Las Vegas since 2006.
Chris became a U.S. citizen on March 5, 2010. Although he left us too soon, Chris touched many lives. He was a loving husband, fantastic father, champion coach and a compassionate and respected leader. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Christine.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Nicole and Steven; father, Michael (Pat); brother, Mark; stepbrother, Jim; stepsister, Christine; nephews, Erin, Duncan, Emryck; and nieces, Molly and Kayleigh.

Words can not express the heartache that surrounds losing a loved one at such a young age. Thankfully I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and was able to work with him as well. Chris was a great leader and mentor, a savvy business man, and an excellent father. I had the pleasure of working for Chris for almost three years at the LVDC, I am a better person and leader because of the time I was able to spend with him. I will always cherish the one on one conversations with Chris and the humor around work, family, and life that he had. While I only had the opportunity to meet Chris in person once a year for the past 15 years at our fantasy football draft in Atlantic City, it's clear that he was a great family man and an all around great guy. I got to know Chris through fantasy football. On draft weekend, we would play golf, lounge around telling stories & eating too much. I was deeply saddened on his passing and will miss our time together. He was the class of our league.
