He was the husband of Shirley L. (Moyer) Gawthorp. Sarge was born in Allentown, a son of the late Floyd L. Gawthorp and Irene (Koneman) Moyer.
He was a Vietnam Veteran having completed three tours of duty, and was a retired insurance salesman.
He is survived in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Rebecca Gawthorp and son, Floyd L. Gawthorp, both of New Hampshire; step-sons: Dwayne Trump, Mississippi; David Trump, Shartlesville; Scott Trump, Reading; three grandchildren.
Sarge's wishes were that their not be any services.
