Corinne, you are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is ANYTHING that I can do, please call me. Many hugs and much love is being sent to you and Scarlet.
Corrine, i a so very sorry for you and your daughters loss.. I just found out of Shawn's passing today.....please call when you are up to it. 484-818-2100 Jeff
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
I worked with Shawn and will never forget his sense of humor, smile and willingness to always help with work and computer questions. He truly enjoyed sharing his technical and mechanical knowledge with all who asked.
Our life on earth is short and was way to short for Shawn but have comfort in everlasting life for those who believe in Jesus. One fine day we will meet Shawn again with those who have departed before us.
"On any morning
Think of stepping on a shore and finding it heaven,
Of taking hold of a hand, and finding it God's hand,
Of breathing new air and finding it celestial,
Of feeling invigorated and finding it immortality,
Of passing from storm and strife into perfect calm,
Of waking up and finding it home"
Shawn brought the joy of life to many. He cared about how everybody was doing. How can a freak accident take the life of someone that cared about so many? We will never know.
Shawn felt like a brother to me, always a person to lean on for any obstacle in life. I just wish Shawnee was still around to help me with this empty feeling left in my heart.
There was a situation two days after the accident that involved a black butterfly with a yellow stripe on each wing. It flew by right in front and then took a rest just a few feet away before moving on. I know that this symbolizes the new life from an old one. But I learned that the black represents the new strong but subtle life after a period of transformation. I also learned that a butterfly brings good luck. Maybe it was Shawn just saying don't worry I'm at peace. "Just Believe". So may this make those touched by Shawn's smile make us all stronger down the road knowing Shawn always wanted us to be happy and not to worry about the small stuff.
Corinne, Scarlet, and all of the family may you all find courage and strength to get through this unbelievable sad time.
Corinne if you ever need a favor or just someone to yell at just ask. After all Shawn was there for all of my problems.
As we get older at sometime we will have to mourn the lose of life, but this one is going take very long time to feel normal again. And I will always ask the question. "What would Shawn do?"
Love ya Buddy!
One of the many things I gained from Corinne and Shawn was the lesson of love. Their wedding was our very first date and I said that when i marry I want to have a love just like them.
I know that words cannot completely heal a hurting soul, but just remember that so many people loved Shawn and will miss him so much. He was a wonderful man and his smile always brightened up the room. I wish Corinne and Scarlet peace and happiness in their lives and my prayers will always be with them. Shawn will always be a part of you and will be with you in everything that you do everyday.
"Our fingerprints never fade from the lives we've touched."
Shawn has touched so many lives and brought so many people together. It is comforting to know that his fun and loving spirit will live on in Scarlet, Corinne, and all of the friends and family that had the honor and privilege of knowing such a wonderful and giving man. We have lost a brother and best friend (BFF), and our lives will never be the same...but we will go on and we will never forget our Shawnee. We love you Corinne, Scarlet, and Smith family and we are here for you always and every step of the road ahead.
Corinne, Scarlet & The Laity & Smith Families: Words cannot express the deep sorrow and pain we feel for you at this time. It is evident that Shawn has touched so many people and in so many different ways -- his memory will live on. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. God Bless and Comfort you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
I only had the pleasure of knowing shawn for a few hours. I had been on a trip to see my father and shawn went with us to rock crawl. I had only heard of him through stories my Dad had shared with me and i was so grateful that my father had such a wonderful friend. I don't think Shawn stopped smiling through the whole trip even though we blew two tires and stood Dad's truck on its nose before it was over.
Best time i ever had in Pennsylvania, hands down. Its a memory i will never forget...
Corrine, your family has done so much for mine. I can't thank you enough for reminding my dad how to smile again, i can only offer my deepest sympathy and my condolences.
Love to you and yours...
Dear Corinne and Scarlet, our thoughts and prayers are with you both during this sad and difficult time. It's hard to find the words to express our sympathies. God Bless you and your family.

Dear Corinne and Scarlet and Shawn's whole famiy and dear friends,
I cannot express my deepest sympathies in any words. This tradegy is one that is so unbleievable that I find it hard to even know what to say. I do want you to know that since I heard the terrible news on that fateful night as it traveled from cell phone to cell phone that my mind has never stopped thinking of all of you. My heart is heavy for you and I pray that God speed you peace somehow and someway.
With All My Love and Sorrow to You, Kathi Glembocki Warren
I have been at such a loss for words to describe my feelings for this tragedy. Shawn was such a devout Husband, Father and Friend, my heart cries out for him!
Shawn had such a Joyful and Giving Soul. I will always remember the times he helped me build and fix my jeep and all the days that we went 4-wheeling. Because of all the thursty Thursdays I will always think of Shawn when ever I'm at or doing any grilling.
Farewell Shawn loved you like the brother I never had.
Corinne and Scarlet, please know that you have myself and many friends of Shawn around you, so when ever you need anything don't hesitate to contact any of us for help. It is the least we can do to help our good friend, it is what he would have done for us. I pray that you both are comforted and not saddened by all these memories.
Corinne & Family-

I only knew Shawn a short time in high school and then went different directions as many of us do. I will never forget how every time I would see him he had this huge grin. He was like a kid on christmas morning. To Shawn's family try to take some comfort in knowing that so many of us share in the pain and grief of losing Shawn. You will be missed my friend.
We are so very sorry for your loss. Dan and I have fond memories of Shawn's smile and kindness. Loving thoughts and prayers are for you and your family.
For the longest time i always knew you and shawn would be together. Way before you two ever started dating i knew he loved you with all his heart. Its a shame he was taken from you this early in life. Always remember no matter where you go or what you do shawn is looking out for you and Scarlet. As i sit here writing this i still cant believe that shawn was taken from this world. He was a great man and would do anything for anyone. Always keep him in your heart and mind and know that he loved you and still does. Someday you will be together again and continue the love you both shared for each other. My thoughts go out to you and your family and if you need anything just let me know. Stay strong

Corinne, I was there at the time when the love you & Shawn shared was just beginning....I remember how he thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world and he would stop at nothing, until he captured your heart. Allow that love to help you through this time and keep you strong, for you and your daughter.
Lots of love.
Shawn, I can't really find the right words to express what you meant to me. You were the best friend anyone could ask for. I feel like I've known you my whole life cause the moment I met you in 3rd grade it was like I've known you forever. You were the life of every party because of your charm, humor and unforgettable smile. I was honored to have you in Eric & my wedding. We shared so many good times together and I am sad that our lives went separate ways once we had families. I will always remember how amazing you were and know that you are smiling down on all your friends & family. Love ya like my brother!! oxoxxo

"If I had a star to give, I'd give it to you"
I had the pleasure of working with Shawn at Herr and was happy to be working with him again at Val-Co.
A truely care-free spirit that uplifted everyone around him. My deepest condolences to his wife and family; He will be forever missed.
Shawn , an awesome guy i had the privilage to know and have as a friend .Many fun and enjoyable offroading adventures with your brother in law Dwayne . Even though before i had a jeep and i was the odd ball driving a chevy truck at the time , Shawn would include me . And at times invite me as a passenger to do more extreme trails than my truck could handle . At times his jeep would break he would not get too flustered and in most cases have parts with him to fix it on the trail . I knew of his love for grilling and not using gas grills . But mostly of his love for his daughter Scarlet and wife Corinne . He touched many lives from coworkers to various organizations he belonged to . I was lucky to have shared my life with such a wonderful , happy positive hard working and caring person . Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family . Many people from Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance share these thoughts . No words are perfect at this time of tragedy , but Corinne and Scarlett and Dwayne and Kathy and family are in our hearts and minds .
Corinne,Scarlet and Smith, Laity Family
You are in our prayers and thoughts. God bless. We are thinking of you all.

Corinne & Scarlett, The Laity families, & the Smith families;
I am so blessed to know the Smiths for many years. I count my blessings that for a very short (too short)time my girls got to really know & love Shawn. I feel for the Laity families because it is so difficult to lose a son/brother/uncle. Right now our hearts are so heavy but I certainly hope that Shawn has "met" my brother Rick and sat down to a beer & catch up on my girls. Corinne & Scarlet, we love you.
Marcia, Jon, Katie, & Erin

To The Laity Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I haven't seen Shawn in close to 13 years, but have fond memories of when we were younger.
I will never forget the time when he and Shawn Katchur drove up to my house in the winter in the snow, with the doors off their jeep just to say hello. My mom and step dad still remember that and laugh about it.
We also had a lot of fun times at the parties on Mt. Laurel Road. He was always the trooper who drove me home and didn't mind the many times I got sick in his car!
He was a great guy. I hope your memories give you comfort doing your time of grief.
You are missed by so many people. Its hard to accept that you are gone. I know that you are in a better place where the wheeling is rocky and the clouds are fluffy. RIP Shawn

Dear Corinne & Scarlet, Harold, Douglass, Kathy & Dwayne, Cheryl & Justin, Penny & Donald, Tammy, and family,
I'm very sad to read of your loss, and I want to extend my deepest sympathy.
I hope these verses might bring you some comfort. Acts 24:15 promise "there is going to be a resurrection." and until then Shawn is as if asleep; just as Jesus said of his friend Lazarus when he died. - (John 11:11-15) Jesus then raised Lazarus from that sleep of death - (John 11:34-44) and in doing so; Jesus gave us a solid basis for hope to see our loved ones again!
It can be helpful to know that when tragedies of "time and unforeseen occurrence befall" - (Ecclesiastes 9:11b) families, God is not to blame for these bad things that happen as we see in James 1:13 “When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.”
2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 speak of God as ‘the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our tribulation.”
Revelation 21:4 comfortingly tells us “And (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” - Just imagine --a world with no tears of sorrow, no pain, and no death! Then the prayer for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven will be fully realized! - Matthew 6:9, 10
I hope that your loving memories will comfort and sustain you and that these verses might give you some comfort too.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I am so very sorry for your lose. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace and strangth. With deep sympathy Corinne and your lovely daughter.Love and peace.
