Richard B. Barr Jr., 81, of Mohnton, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at his residence.
He was the husband of C. Isabel (Plucker) Barr, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late
Richard B. Sr. and Anna (Washilewski) Barr.
Mr. Barr was employed at the former Brown Trailers, Inc., until they closed. He went to work as a roofer with Local #30. Most
recently he worked at the former Premium Beverage.
He was a lifetime member of the Mohnton Fish & Game Protective Association, and the Oakbrook
Relief Association. He was a member of the Pennwyn Motor Association in Mohnton.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Richard B. III, husband of
Tina M. Barr, of Wernersville; Andrew S. Barr of Mohnton; and Candace A. (Barr), wife of Keith L. Kline, of Mohnton.
Also surviving are five grandchildren: Brent Barr of Shafferstown, Amanda Barr of Wyomissing, Sara Barr of Wernersville, Allison Kline of Mohnton, and Steven Barr of Exeter; and a sister, Pauline Lipinsky of Landisville, PA. He was predeceased by a son, Brian Barr; a granddaughter, Stephanie Stoudt, and a brother, John Barr.
Funeral service and
interment will be private. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Heartland Hospice, 4 Park Plaza, Suite 105-A, Wyomissing, PA 19610.

My deepest sympathies. Mr. Barr will be missed. I always felt like I had a second Dad watching out for me as I was growing up on Main St. To this day. whenever I hear a loud whistle, I think of him and smile! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I'm wishing you all comfort & peace.
