Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are extended to the bereaved family of our beloved sister in Christ, Becky Adler, especially to Kathy and Stuart. We had the honor of establishing a wonderful friendship with Becky and Bob from back in 1967, and we treasured every moment of same. Becky was a very warm, caring and compassionate woman, who, in her own quiet way, went about doing good, bringing people together on projects to assist those in need, and always reaching out to others. She will certainly be missed, especially by those whose lives she touched so profoundly. May she rest in eternal peace.

I first met Becky in the late 50s when,as a student member of the Student Christian Union at Western Reserve University, I interviewed her for the position of Associate Director. She was hired and thus began a friendship of more than 50 years. During that period I witnessed her marriage to Bob, their residence on Van Aken, and the birth of her two children. We were members of Emmanuel Church (later known as Church of the Transfiguration) and then after my return to Cleveland in 1992 we were both members of St. Paul's Church and members of the Board of the United Protestant Campus Ministries in Cleveland. We shared many interests and concerns through the years. In 1997 we travelled to Japan together. Throughout her life, I greatly admired Becky for her careful attention and conscientious, meticulous approach to any task she undertook, from cooking and gardening to her civic and intellectual pursuits.

I didn´t know Becky and never met her. I am currently President of the Board of Cleveland Interact. On behalf of all of our board members I wish to send my condolences to you and your family. I know of her good work and that she was in part responsible for the existence of Interact. She has left a wonderful legacy and we sincerely appreciate her goodwill. I will work hard to make her wishes for Interact become reality.

Becky was a part of my life from the time I went to work at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. In her quiet way she helped form projects and bring people together. She was part of the group which founded ESIM now InterAct Cleveland. She remained engaged through all the years, helping and supporting those of us going through difficult times, celebrating achievements. Her life was a gentle, bright light welcoming strangers and friends. The children in the PIA Program loved to be with her at the annual picnic at Lakefront Park. Peace be with you.
