I just saw this in the Lake County Bee and was very saddened. I was a young boy in the '50's when I first met Delaney and was privileged to have known Gordon Sr. and Dee as close, personal friends. They both had quite an impact on my life and I spent many happy hours at their home in Scotts Valley. Back in the late sixties and early seventies when I went back home on vacations, I often would run on to Dee in Lakeport and with my dad, spend several happy minutes reminiscing with her. I was home on leave when Gordon Sr. passed and felt fortunate to have spent some time with him a few days before. He never went anywhere without her and both of them were dedicated to their children and I always envied the love in that house. Rest easy Dee, you earned it. Love from an old friend, Bob Tolton, Fort Smith, ARK.
