Mrs. Biondino and family, it has been a year since Dr. B's passing and I can tell you We at COMC still do miss him. He had a way of making us laugh with his jokes and infamous stories. Dr. B was one of a kind and his presence is greatly missed. Be Blessed!
To my favorite father and all who have written in this guest book,
I think of you everyday Dad. Those thoughts bring tears of happiness that you were mine and I was yours. The thoughts also bring me big smiles because you were such a joker. I only wish everyone out there got to experience the times that you, Momma, and I had. I am so grateful for the smiles and for all of the beautiful people that were touched by you in some way, shape, or form. You were the best Dad and friend anyone could ever have. This book is going to close on the 10th of this month and I just wanted to leave a few words to everyone. It is clear to me that you have and will continue to hold a very dear place in all of our hearts. Thanks Dad and good-bye!

I send condolences from the University of Connecticut Orthopaedic Residency Program. I am the residency program administrator and each year I send out our newsletter, invitation to the Orthopaedic Alumni Reception at the annual AAOS meeting, and an orthopaedic Alumni dues flyer to all our alumni. Each year without fail, Dr. Biondino would respond with his check. Getting these materials ready to send out this year is how I discovered that he passed away. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I've read the beautiful testimonies to him and wished I had had the opportunity to meet such a fine gentleman. You will be in my prayers.

Sharon & family. We have not seen each other in years, but fond memories. No words will really help, but know you are thought about, & hope for better things as time passes.
I am shocked that Dr.B is gone. He was the only doctor I would let operate on me and he was the best. I always told him that he needed more recreation and less work. He will be greatly missed and his unique bedside manner will never be duplicated

Sharon and family: I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Having just seen him in May at our 45th Princeton reunion, this comes as quite a shock. Though I did not know Bob well, we got to know each other our freshman year when we played baseball together. I always enjoyed his company and his sense of humor and I'm sorry that we never got to know each other better.

Dear Sharon, Robert Jr and family: I am so sad to hear of Bob. Robert Jr, we met by telephone several years ago. I am a lawyer in Oakland CA. Good luck in your career. Jim Moren.
I have just learned about Mr.B's passing. My deepest sympathy to all in the Biondino family. He has touched so many lives in everything he touched his hands on. I will always remember him as a vivid, colorful man just like his jackets he wore with pride. He will be dearly missed. God Bless, stay strong and cherish the memories.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Dr. Biondino. It was a pleasure and an honor to know him. He was a wonderful man and an excellent physician. I got to know Dr. B during my 29 year tenure as a Microbiology tech at MidState Medical Center aka Meriden-Wlfd Hospital/Veteran's Memorial. After my tenure I was one of Dr. B's many patients, as well as my mother, sister and cousin. He treated us like we were part of his family. We traveled from Bristol to Wallingford. I will always remember how he would tell jokes to make me more relaxed during my surgery. As with all of my family members who have passed, I will never forget Dr. B. He will always be in my prayers.
Wow. I guess Dr. B touched everybody he ever met in an incredibly special way. This was abundantly clear over the last week. Blessed to have known the man for the last year and a half as a result of the relationship I have with his wonderful daughter Alysha, from his Howard Cosell like memory of off the wall sports stats to his constant chatter on the tee-box (he couldn't help himself), I will always smile broadly whenever I think of the man. Cheers Doc. You won't be forgotten. Thanks for the laughs, memories, advice, and, golf balls...
I worked with Bob weekly and always found him to be cheerful, knowlegdeable and helpful to me while always being personable to his patients and myself and our coworkers. He is and will be sadly missed every day. He was a good man and wonderful Physician.
To the Biondino Family
I was so saddened to hear this news. I worked with Dr. B for many years. I was also Alysha’s hand therapist. I loved his humor and how much he truly cared for his patients. The community has lost a wonderful person and Doctor. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May your memories comfort you.
Dear Sharon: I wanted to say how beautiful the church service was, how touching the service at the cemetery was, it was all done so well. I shall be thinking of you and hope that you will stay strong. When things are taken care of, please call and we can go to lunch. My e-mail is email@example.com. Be well, Sharon
Dear Sharon and family,
Please accept my sincere sympathies on the passing of my good friend Bob. Although Bob and I had not seen each other in many years, I remember meeting with him and Alysha at a Hamden Hall/Choate softball game not so long ago. It was wonderful to reconnect with him and to meet his special daughter. My heartfelt sympathies go to all of you at this time. I would be there to celebrate Bob's life were it not for a recent hip replacement surgery. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerest sympathies to the Biondino family. My first job was working in my dad's office, the Meriden Orthopaedic Group, during the summer of 79. I remember Dr. Biondino as a very nice man, and I know my dad thought very highly of him. God bless you during your time of sorrow.
Sometimes I conjure up the faces of my classmates of 1961 at Choate; among those are Bob Biondino. I lost my annual of that year long ago, but I remember Bob well: a "Townie" (he lived in Wallingford), he had dark, curly hair, an open, friendly face, intelligent dark eyes and a humble "aw shucks" personality. I remember him as an outstanding student and fine person, easygoing and fun to be around. Even though I can't remember any specific courses we took together or sports teams, it surprises me that whenever I think of Choate and classmates, his face, with its warmth and gentle humor, inevitably pops into my mind's eye. As sad as his passing is, I was pleased to read the highly worthy contributions and sacrifices he made to his fellow man. My sincerest condolences to his family.

How does one move ahead when missing such a larger than life force? We've been through it, and now again. The days ahead for all of you will be filled with an adjustment unlike any other. Bob was truly unique...a presence...a good person who enriched the lives and livelihoods of those fortunate enough to be around him, whether as a patient or a friend. He lived his life to the absolute fullest, yet, gave back a hundredfold. He cared about people. He made a difference. In the days, months and years ahead, we pray that God gives you the inner strength and fortitude to maneuver your way through a brand new world. In time, you'll be able to fully comprehend just what an impact he made and will continue to make for all of us. God bless him, and all of you.
SHARON I WAS SO SHOCK WHEN I HEARD THE LOSS OF BOB BOB AND YOU WERE SO MUCH TOGETHER WE DID HAVE A LOT OF FUN IN POLAND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ELIZABETH BELLANTE
He was my doctor from the time I was 13 months old until now. I loved him so much. I will always remember his huge smile, goofy ties, and big bear hugs. He will be missed so very much. I hope he's in heaven playing golf with my grandpa. Love you Dr. B.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Bob and I worked together for the Town of Wallingford Engineering Dept during the summer when we where in college in the mid 1960's. He was a good co-worker, fun to be around and he always more than pulled his load.
I will wish his family sympathy and peace, Bob was a good person.
I began working for Meriden Orthopedic Group in August 1984. That was the year we adopted our daughter. Dr. B presented us with a bottle of champagne at the Christmas Party to celebrate our good news. He was a wonderful person and physician who had a zest for life and a personality to match.
My sincere sympathy to his family. Your memories of him will keep him alive in your hearts until you are all reunited again.
My sorrow and prayers are with you. Bob was a terrrific guy and I will miss him and his fun sense of humor. My love to all. God Bless

i had the best laughs in his office, even when i was in serious pain, loved his sense of humor, one of a kind!!! will miss him very much!! R.I.P.
To The Biondino Family,
My deepest sympathy and condolences to you for the loss of Dr. B. I had the pleasure of working along side with Dr. B every Wednesday at Concentra Medical Centers for the past 2 years.
He had a way of lightening up the office whenever he was there. He always knew how to put a smile on my face with his charm. He gave me great advice, good and bad criticism, and pushed me to be a better, stronger person. I looked up to him as a father figure.
I looked forward to seeing his great ties and outfits because he always looked so dapper. We would compare our restaurant and wine notes locally and in NYC because we had a love for both.
We made jokes about how he stored his truck in our garage and would say anytime I needed it to go ahead and borrow it. I said I couldn't wait until the Audi was there, then I would take him up on borrowing a car :)
I enjoyed listening to how he spoke of his family and how his wife was the only one who really could make him laugh. He always said, "she's a good kid" and when we talked about our upcoming plans in life, travels etc. he couldn't enjoy more than spending the time with you Mrs. Biondino. He talked about how you hiked with Wolfie and how you were a trooper with fishing along with him.
He would also talk about how he loved to go to Colorado to see his children and granchildren and spend the holidays there. He was very proud!
He was one of a kind, and someone I will always miss and treasure. I was lucky to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Sorry cannot begin to express how sad we are that Doc is gone. He was like a second father and brother to our family. The great ones are taken much too soon. We will miss his sence of humor, upbeat spirit and the great man that he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.
Rob and Karen
My prayers go out to Dr. B's family. He was quite a guy and a very special doctor. I thank him for his skill in operating on me and ofcourse leaving me with a few DR.B stories I still share with everyone years later. It's been an honor my friend....God Bless
Dear Mrs. Biondino and family,
We were saddened to learn of Dr. B's untimely passing. He was our doctor, and we loved and respected him. May God bless and comfort you, and may your loving memories of this wonderful husband, father, brother and friend sustain you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Deepest condolences...Ray & Linda Aguiar

Dear Sharon, Robbie, Alysha and Wolfie - We would love to be there today and tomorrow and the only reason we are not is that we have been hosting the memorial for Rob's mom with the whole family here. Rob has his own things to say about being roommates at PU, about bridge, about hunting and fishing together and laughing, laughing, laughing. I recall skiing at Steamboat and falling on an icy slope. He diagnosed my broken pelvis after clearing a bench of lunching teenagers so that I could lie down and he could poke my bones. I shrieked and jumped in the air almost horizontally. "Yup," he said, "you have a broken pelvis." Rosey was there, too, and he told all of us that in third-world countries sometimes they break those bones to get the babies out. Imagining more pain and laughing at the same time - got me down the hill to the ER. Love that man. Last moments were at the Yankees game in Oakland. Love you all so much and see you soon, we hope. Sharon & Rob Tyrer
I always enjoyed playing golf with Bob. He had a great sense of humor. We were always talking about the Red fox's on the Farm's golf course when we played. My thoughts are with you.
i didnt know him very well but i am a patient of dr. paret and was very saddened to hear of dr biondinos passing. my deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife and family, as well as his coworkers and colleagues

Dear Sharon and Family,
I have worked with Dr. B on the state orthopedic society board for more than 10 years. When news came of your loss my memories with such a fine person and doctor came rushing back. He worked so very hard to make sure residents of Connecticut woould always have the best Orthopedic care. He thoughts were always of others first. Mostly I will miss the moments when we both arrive early to a meeting and could sit and talk for a few moments. The conversations were always of his family where is love came through in waves. He will be missed greatly. You and your family will be in my prayers.
I worked with dr.biondino at ww2 vet memorial and midstate medical center. We will miss his sense of humor and colorful ties. lizbeth hamilton
sharon and family, Im so saddened to hear the news of Dr. B passing. he always made me laugh everytime i would see him he would say "Annie is it a sharon day or a B day???? He touched our family and will be so very missed. you are all in my prayers and know B is looking over you all. Ann Ali
Dear Sharon and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
From the first time I met him as our Babe Ruth baseball coach, to the time he pulled me into the OR during paramedic class rotations, to each time I saw him in the ER, Dr. Biondino always had a smile and was willing to impart his knowledge to those people he crossed paths with. He has left the earth a better place than he found it. He will be missed by many.
I was very sad to hear of Dr. B's passing he was a great Doctor and a great man. He will be missed by many! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Dear Mrs. Biondino my name is Louise, I know you and Dr. Biondino from the gym. He was also my doctor. He was a loving and very funny man. But the one thing I admired the most was the smile he got on his face when I asked how you were and he said "aww she's a good kid" you were not just married, you were friends with such deep love for each other. I admired that in both of you. He will be VERY missed. Know I am thinking of you and you have my DEEPEST sympathy.
I remember Bob's neckties, which, if you looked carefully, were strangely inappropriate. I remember skiing with Bob at Mt. Snow and noticing that on a steep chute and elsewhere he did not try to bring his skis together. I asked him about that and he said that he liked the way he skied just fine and did not see any reason to bring his skis together. I remember falling to the ground with a soleus/calf muscle injury on the tennis court at the Farms CC and Bob was there and came to tend to me and told me (at age 35) that I had a typical "middle-age" injury. Bob was always upbeat and always Bob. I am happy to have known him....Tarn Granucci
Dear Mrs.Biondino & Family,
First of all my sincere condolences on your loss. I've known Dr. B for many years through the six surgeries he performed on me with excellence and the caring for my welfare. He was always in great spirits and always lifted mine to a higher level. I was sad he couldn't do my latest operation in 2008 because of his heart condition. He will forever be remembered as a kind, funny and thoughtful person as well as an excellent Doctor. He was a pleasure to be with and I'm glad he was there to help me through my surgeries.I'll truly miss the man I could call my friend.

To Sharon, family and special friends,
Our thoughts and prayers are you with guys at this time. I want you to know that I feel blessed to have known someone so full of life. I think that all that were touched by Dr. B are different because he was present in their lives, if even for a short time. I am so happy to have known him and you guys and feel certain that heaven just got a lot better, if that was even possible.
Love you guys!
I am a former patient of the Dr. ,i wish to offer my deepest sympathy for your loss.He was a wonderful doctor.
To the entire Biondino Family,
My deepest condolences to your entire family on your recent loss. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Dr. Biondino at COMC for the last 4 years. I can not think of a time in which he wasn't smiling or joking with us. He will truly be missed by all.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time.
Doctor Bob, like his brother Boyd (my English teacher in high school - MTSHS '79) was larger than life. He operated on my mother's knee and hip, and treated me for an injured rotator cuff - and he always had a hug waiting when we saw each other at Choate on Thursday afternoons. I am saddened by his passing, it is a great loss. May we find peace and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Dear Sharon and family - Bob and I received the Wallingford resident Choate scholarships back in 1957 and we played baseball together.
I was so looking forward to re-connecting with him at our reunion next spring. He richly filled his life with accomplishments, good works and a loving family. You were blest to have had so many great years together.
May God comfort you with memories of happier days.
Peace and blessings.
My heart goes out to the entire Biondino Family! He was a remarkable and great human being. He will be sorely missed.
I worked with Bob for many years on the CT State Sports Medicine Committee. Through his leadership, Many health and safety policies and rules were adopted for the CT Interscholastic Athletic Association. He was also a dear friend. My sympathies go out to his family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rob and Sharon on the trip to Poland. The two of you were so much fun and he was so full of life. Such a gentleman. My prayers are with you, Sharon, and your family at this time of sorrow.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I worked with Dr. B for many years at COMC. He always had a smile on his face and knew how to make you laugh. I miss you Dr. B, rest in peace.
Dear Sharon,Alysha, robbie,my heart felt sympathy goes out to you. I always looked forward to seeing doc when he would come to colorado. He will be missed.
My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I was Dr. "B's" patient in the early '80's and always enjoyed his great personality and caring manner. He will always be remembered fondly.
Sharon and family, I will greatly miss working with Dr. B on many work projects, our golf tournament in particular. My husband Bob is going to miss his bridge partner and their occasional golf games. I know that Dr. B is now in a special place reserved for the good guys!
I write this note with great sadness. I absolutely LOVED Dr. Biondino, and feel so heartsick for his family. I have known him through my work as a Social Worker at MidState (Meriden/Wallingford Hospital)- we met in the early 80's. Dr. Biondino, adored my mom - also a hospital employee, who actually was an aid to his dad when he was hospitalized. I often recall his bragging rights, that he helped in getting me - pregnant! Due to the fact that he operated on a work related leg injury that kept me out of commission for work for 8 weeks!
GOD BLESS his sense of humor.
Years later Dr. Biondino then operated on my husband for a back injury - and he saved his independence and life (in so many ways).
There is not a time that does not go by that we (as a family) do not talk of Dr. Biondino -
My prayers to his family - I know you know this...
but he is a one of a kind person, who our family has been blessed to have in our life and in our corner!
Bob was a good friend and a great colleague. We shared many patients over the years. These folks always spoke very highly of him. I don't ever recall a conversation with Bob that didn't involve his telling a richly detailed story which would inevitably prompt a belly laugh. Marvelous sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
Dear Mrs Biondino & Family;
I had the pleasure of working with Dr.Biondino for almost 9 years at COMC. He always brought smiles and humor to the office. Dr. Biondino will be greatly missed by so many.
My prayers go out to you and your family for your loss
Dr B. always made everyone feel like they were special. He always had a kind word or an uplifting story, usually just when you needed it the most! Dr. B. made this world a better place, and we should all have a little "Dr. B" in us. May all of your memories help you get through this sadness you are feeling now.
With Respect and sympathy
The Humowitz Family
My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Biondino family. I met Dr. B for the first time in 1983 as a 16 year old orderly at WWII Veterans Memorial Hospital. Over the subsequent years I had the pleasure of working with him in the OR and routinely helping him with patients in the ER until 1999. He always had a smile on his face be it 2PM or 2AM! COnversation usually quickly moved from medicine to skiing, fishing, hunting or golf. This is what made him a great person in my eye. Not only was he a great doctor, but a great person and a great friend. He touched the hearts of many people and helped them in many ways other from a medical standpoint. He will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. B family. He will truely be missed around the office. He always had a smile on his face and would always make me laugh. Rest in peace Dr. B
My prayers our with Sharon and her family.
I will miss Dr. B. I will never forget our bus trip to New York. We laughed and had a great Time. I also loved working with him in Surgery. He always was singing to the music even though, the words were wrong.
He is now singing with the Angels. God Bless you.
It is a sad day today Bob will be missed by every one.
Ed & Steph
My favorite father,
I love you always and know that everything I do; I do more proudly because of you.
Love Always, your daughter and friend,
Dr. Biondino cared for me many years ago. He was a very competent doctor and a kind gentleman. I pray that God will bless him and and his family. Sincerely yours, Judge William Murray
Sharon and the entire Biondino family, words can never describe the sadness of heart with the loss of your husband, father and friend to all. Dr. B always provided a strong hand shake, smiles and encouragement to those who were fortunate to call him friend. He always encouraged you to be better then you were before his treatment mentally and physically. When all others said I would “never ever”, he said, “we’ll be a team and prove them wrong”, and we did. My heart felt condolences to you all in this time and loss of your loved one.
To Sharon and family, I have many memories of Dr. B. both at work and play. One of the fondest of him dancing and doing "the worm" at my wedding. With deepest sympathy and in loving memory. Judy Gillooly
Dear Sharon and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I have such wonderful memories of Dr. B. when I worked in the Surgicenter at VMMC years ago. We shared a love of the beautiful collie dogs. Always a sharp dresser, one day he came to the Surgicenter wearing a very unique tie. It had sable & white collies embroidered all over. The collie looked exactly like my beloved Collie Captain and I asked where he got that tie - what a great Christmas gift for my husband. He said he would pick one up for me next trip to NY. A few weeks later, he handed me a beautiful navy blue tie embroidered with sable/white collies. I could not believe he remembered - and then refused payment. I have never forgotten his generosity and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.
Sharon and family,
Sending you my thoughts and prayers. Dr. B was a special person- loved and respected by all. It was an honor to have worked with him in the OR and the hospital. I Also enjoyed his company at
several hospital functions. He will
surely be missed.
Sharon, Robby & Alysha,
We were overcome with shock and sadness when we heard the news. Our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to all of you.
Love, Lynn, Vinny, Darian, and Trevi

SHARON, ROBERT AND ALYSHA, I AM SO HEART BROKEN @ THE LOSS OF A DEAR FRIEND AND WONDERFUL DOCTOR. YOU HAVE OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY. I WILL KEEP YOU ALL IN MY PRAYERS.EVERYONE WHO KNEW DR. "B" ,LOVED HIM. MAY GOD BLESS, LOVE, LINDA AND ROGER VOISINE
Dear Sharon and family. Im sorry to hear about Dr. B. I hope you are all doing well and coping during this difficult time. My prayers go out to you and all of your family. I had the pleasure of working w/ Dr. B for five great years. He is the funniest man that I know by far. He was more than just another doctor, he was trully a great friend, and more so he was like a father figure to me. He gave the absolute best advice, sometimes a little brutal but always honest and I could appreaciate that. He was the one that encouraged me to pursue nursing school and be a better me for me and my family. I will always keep in my heart all of the great memories that I shared while working with him. He will trully be missed. He had the gift to always treat everyone equal and never judge anyone regardless of any situation. He will be missed by his family and all of those who had the opprtunity to know such a great man.
My memories of Bob go back to grade school. We didn't see each other until one day there he was hitching a ride back from college I picked him up gave him a ride home. Then after he finished Medical School and came to work at WW 11 Veterans Memorial Hosp where I was working I would run into him and we had this thing I would say what day is it Bob in the hospital hallway and he would yell back Prince spaghettii day. I alway got into trouble for calling him Bob - usually by a head nurse. He took care of our Medical needs also for my sons Bryan, Rob & Ron. Our boys played ball together. I have not seen him in a long time but he is someone you do not forget.
My prayers and thoughts to the family.
Joyce Kane (Cannata) Hernando, Fl
Dr.B was my knee doctor. He treated me as a friend not just a patient. On one visit to his office he noticed I was wearing a Red Sox hat. He asked me if I wanted tickets to a game sometime. I forgot all about it until one morning about a month later. He showed up at my house at 7:30 in the morning with 2 tickets. What a generous and thoughtful man. I'll always remember that. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family.
Sharon, Susan and I were deeply saddend by Rob's untimely death. He will be missed by many. Our love, David and Susan Rosenfeld
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. B for many years. He was always upbeat, happy and made me laugh. My prayers go out to the family. He will be missed by many.
Words cannot express the depth of my sympathy, nor can they explain the sorrow in my heart, but all I have are words to say I'm so sorry for your loss. Never a better man did live. Doc will live forever in my heart and mind.
Such shocking news. I have very fond memories of Dr B being such a funny and special guy. So sorry for your loss.
Prayers for all of you.
I was blessed to have had the opportunity over the past ten years to be in the presence of someone of such high intellect and moral caliber through my work with Dr. Biondino in a medical-legal context. He always made time to speak about his beautiful and loving family even though he was so busy helping so many people in so many aspects of the community.
