Helen Ritchotte Obituary

WOODSTOCK - Helen K. Ritchotte, 91, formerly of Meriden, wife of the late Warren A. Ritchotte, died on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Mutulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Cherniak) Kolawich. She had resided in Woodstock for the last four years with her daughter Rande and her husband Frederick. Mrs. Ritchotte was a parishioner of Holy Angels Churck. She loved gardening and watching birds. Helen also enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by two daughters, Rande Chmura and her husband, Frederick, of Woodstock and Patricia O'Connor and her husband, John, of Livermore, Calif.; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Brian O'Connor, of Livermore, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Julie Carabetta.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St., South Meriden for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St., South Meriden, CT 06451.
