Dear Gene and family, we've only just learned of this very sad news and are heartbroken. There are so many wonderful words to describe the kind of person and friend Nettie was to us. The sweetest, kindest, loving, thoughtful, generous, and most loyal friend a person could ever have. A friendship that stood the test of time. She was always very proud of her family and spoke of them often. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will miss Nettie's warm spirit so very much. Rest in peace dear friend.

My condolences to Gene and his family for the departure of my cousin Nettie. We are very sad here in PR for her departure. I keep in my heart all the very pleasant moments of Nettie and her family when I went in Connecticut and when they were visiting Puerto Rico. I will always keep in my memory her beautiful smile and the joy that she transmitted when sharing with everyone around her. Those memories last forever.
May God give you all lots of consolation and strength.
Nettie, Rest in Peace.
