I just want to say how sorry I am to hear of Marie Hesters' passing. I didn't know her except what sweet words her son (Glen) said to me and what he told me about her. I am sure she was a very wonderful Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma to all of you and am so sorry to find out about her passing. I know its been two years today but me losing my mother in 2007, I know the grief doesn't leave anytime soon. Love to glen and God Bless her other family and friends.

Thinking about you Grandma, headed back to Porterville in a week or so to help with the house. Miss seeing you as always. You have given me more than I could as for in character and values. Proud to be a Hester. Love Brian 11/2/12

When I first started working with Marie I was impressed by her organization and meticulous attention to her financial accounts. Working with Marie over the years we soon became very close friends. When marie would come in for an appointment we would end up talking at length more about life in general than finances. I soon began to think of Marie more than just a friend. Marie gave me inspiration and saw me through some very difficult times in my life. I began to think of Marie like a Mother to me. Marie would always tell me that life goes by really fast. She shared with me her love of camping and encouraged me to take time to do the things that I enjoy. We loved to combine our meetings over an early lunch, and I fondly remember how Marie would ALWAYS order the same thing at our lunch meetings...a breakfast! Marie was very personable and conversational,my staff adored her and always looked forward to her visits. She seemed to find something in common with each one of them. I feel privileged to have had Marie as part of my life, and I miss her very much. I keep Marie's encouragement and inspiration in my heart and thoughts. With heartfelt love and prayers to your family.

Dear Grandma Hester, memories today of your backyard, beautiful rose bushes, California fruit trees, dried fruit from those trees, your vegetable garden, the motor home you let your grandkids hang out in, Monica (Snow?) across the street, your cobblers hot from the oven, your hearty laugh, the twinkle in Grandpa's eyes when he laughed along with you...and especially, the way you loved your family.

Heaven isn't close enough.
