Armond Lawrence Rossiter

Armond Lawrence Rossiter, 78, died Monday, December 25, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson and Dementia. Resident of Stockton, CA. for 52 years. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Patricia A. (Laukka) Rossiter; his sons, Todd (Rachel) Steve; his two grandchildren Alexander and Jonathan; Siblings Sharon Butler, Gary (Denise) Rossiter, Kevin (Penny) Rossiter, Linda Rossiter, Roy (Teresa) Johnson, and Phyllis (Dennis) Richards. Many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Predeceased by Father: Lawrence Rossiter, Mother Vienna Johnson, Step parents George Johnson and Ethel Rossiter. Born in Biwabik, MN. raised in San Francisco, CA. Graduating class of 1957 from Balboa High School in San Francisco, CA. Armond Served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He was a courier then underwriter for Pacific National Insurance co. in San Francisco, CA. where he met his wife Patricia. After relocating to Stockton, Armond received his A.A. Degree at S.J. Delta College, then his B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice from C.S.U. Sacramento. Retired from the San Joaquin Co. Sheriff's department (where he was known as "Rosie") after 40 years of service retiring as a Lieutenant. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in the Presentation Parish of Stockton, CA. He was a quiet person. His hobbies included Wood Working, Fishing, Camping, Bowling with the Sheriff's team, Lifelong Fan of the San Francisco Giants (Seals Stadium) and 49ers all the way back to the Kezar Stadium Days. He had a love for animals and nature. His favorite places to visit were Point Reyes and Caples Lake in the Sierra Nevada. He also liked to go on cruises with his wife and their cruise group and enjoyed many countries together.
The family of Mr. Rossiter would like to express a great amount of gratitude and appreciation to the staff and nurses of Asera Care Hospice for their wonderful care and support for the family. Visitation will be Thursday January 4, 2017 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, Rosary at 6:00pm at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive Stockton, CA. The funeral Mass will be Friday January 5, 2017 10:00am at Church of the Presentation 1515 W. Ben Holt Dr. Stockton, CA. Please sign guestbook at www.deyoungchapels.com

Armond was the best neighbor you could ask for -- Always friendly and smiling, very helpful when you needed help, and very considerate & kind.
