Happy Birthday in Heaven Vicki - I wish I could light 59 candles today for you ... I remember you telling me last year that the gift card I sent to you 1 year ago today was the highlight of the day for you. That brings such happiness to me knowing that a little thoughtfulness meant so much. Keeping you in my my heart today and always. I love you and miss you so very much!!

Hey Vick - Looking through some photos in a file created on my computer named "Vicki Hamlin Reynolds Files" and stumbled upon this message there...
You must of wanted me to find this to share with everyone - I love you and miss you....Always

A SILENT TEAR
Just close your eyes and you will see all the memories that you have of me. Just sit and relax and you will find I'm really still there inside your mind

Don't cry for me now - I'm gone, for I am in the land of song, there is no pain, there is no fear, so dry away that silent tear

Don't think of me in the dark and cold, for here I am, no longer old, I'm in that place that's filled with love, known to you all as "up above"

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and smile...or cry...or both.
I wish I could have one of our great conversations like days past. I miss you and love you always.

From Jennifer Beaver as posted on her Facebook this evening ....
While cleaning up my room I came across the poem that my mother wanted to be read at her celebration of life ceremony. I was so upset when I couldnt find it because I didnt know what I would say. I think my words were heartfelt and were words everyone could relate to. But now I want you all to hear these words from my Mother Vicki Hamlin Reynolds. Especially as we get ready to leave 2017 and enter 2018.

Here it goes:
When I come to the end of my journey
And travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember Ive had lots of fun.

Forget that Ive stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some extremely hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in the summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay.

And come in the shade of the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the West
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.

My deepest condolences to the family. I've know Vicki since 1995 - although she started out being my boss - we eventually became as close as sisters. My life without her will have such a void in it, but knowing and remembering the good times we shared, and getting through the bad times too, is comforting. I know she wanted us to be strong and not be as she said "a cry baby" ... but to remember all the good times and celebrate and be happy. Rest in Peace my sweet lady.
