Condolences to the Cooksley family. I can't believe this fireball of a lady is gone. I was one of her nursing students and she taught with a certain "wit". She wouldn't let you get away with anything (unless she winked at you) but showed you the right path to take. She is fondly remembered and an inspiration to the many lives she touched, may you rest in peace Claire.

Jim, Paddy and Dale and family:
Claire was a wonderful friend and colleague--we had some great times together working, shopping, reading "spiritual" novels, and on the social scene as well. Claire was an exceptional nursing instructor always very caring about her students and what they could do to improve the care of patients and families. She made a very significant and impressive contribution to the profession of nursing. She was a member of a very special "angel" group at Shasta College and for many years thereafter her retirement. Ray and I will always remember her fondly. We have many memories of our adventures together with her and Jim. Our thoughts, prayers and love to to all of you.

Claire was my Nursing Instructor and really inspired me to be precise. I remember her telling me just what to chart my first time on the floor and the next time I made sure that was how I worded it. She asked me to change it and I said but last time you said... and she said Oh it's whatever strikes my fancy. I just loved her.

Paddy your mom will be missed! As I think back to our "formative years" on Alta Mesa, your mom was such a patient soul! Goodness she put up with kids running in and out, hungry, dirty, wet (from the snow), and full of ourselves. She just rolled her eyes gave a directive, pulled out the cookies, amd prompted us to sit down and take a breath! She was always there, willing to listen, to help solve the issues of the day!!! She was a jewel! Love to you, your dad, Dale, Ashley, Lindsey, Michael and Carolyn. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Memories are Wonderful things!
Love. Molly (Stanford) Cundiff
