Sandy and family, it is a time of sadness, but yet a time of rejoycing, your husband father, grandpa, is now walking in the Presence of his Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, it seems like l've know doyle all my life, but my greatest memories were high school, the 58 football team, and the witness that Doyle meant to me, How anyone could adjust to his circumstances, can only mean GOD had his hand on him always.. the last time l saw DOYLE was at the football reunion where he carried the last touchdown for the team, his humor, smile will always be with me, thank you so much my friend for the priveledge of knowing you, as you walk in his pesence, l'm sure by now you have made him smile... God Bless you Sandy and Family, Gordon & Alice Blay

I am so lucky for all the great memories with Doyle. My 1st buck I killed. Dad, Doyle and Dwayne were their. Dad and expecially Doyle were more excited than I was. That buck hangs in my office and not a day goes by that I don't remember the hugs and high fives when we were all together that day. That's one of many memory's I'm thankfull for. You are loved by many and in no way can or will be forgotten. To Sandy, little Doyle, Carol, Debbie and all the grand children and great grand children, we are truly lucky to have had Doyle in our lives. P.S. Doyle say hi to Mom for me and when you're fishing, don't forget to spit on her worm.

There are so many things I wish I could say
Say to comfort our loss of such a great man
A great man who cared about so many
So many that he created

From beginning to end you were always there
There to crack a smile to comfort each and every one of us
And each and every one of us cared so much for you
so much that we are here for one last HOORAH!!
HOORAH!! To the man who made us who we are
Who we are will be your legacy and legend for generations to come
And I know for generations you will guide us into great human beings
Great human beings that will be forever yours

And forever we will be in debt to the man
The man with the biggest heart Ive ever known

The lights may have gone out but I can still see the glow
The glow of your presences
That glow that will be forever in our hearts
Our hearts remain yours
Yours forever

While it has been some time since I last saw Doyle and Sandy, my love and friendship for them never wavered. Years and distance may have separated us but my memories of them both and our adventures hasn't dimmed. Our lives meshed for many years as did our families.
Sandy, Little Doyle, Carol, Debbie and all your families, my heart is with you all as you deal with the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. I know he is at peace now hunting, fishing, backpacking, camping, running and hiking: cracking jokes and making everyone laugh as they sit around the campfire. One day we'll all be there with him., together again.

I am so sorry about your loss of this wonderful man. There is a huge whole missing where he touched all of us with his presence and love. I was lucky enough to have met him through the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation that I'm a committee member on around 13 years ago. His excitement for the love of wildlife and hunting was refreshing. He truely was devoted to his family, friends and hunting. From all of us at RMEF, he will be greatly missed. All our love to the family.

Dear Canada Family, I first met Doyle in the rehab hospital in Redding. I was one of the therapists. He was such a kind, gentle man who worked so hard at getting back as much function as he could. We all loved Doyle and his beloved Sandy who was there by his side day after day. I often think about Doyle and Sandy, especially when I drive through Burney and Fall River. he loved the mountains almost as much as he loved his family. May peace be with all of you. Sincerely, Robyne Hartman

Doyle was the kind of cousin everyone would wish for. We had so much fun growing up and then the years went by and we both had our own families but still stayed in touch. I will always treasure my trips to Doyle and Sandy's at Fall River and telling Little Doyle about all the good times and once in a while pulling his leg. Doyle loved everybody and especially his family. He is going to be missed by so many people but we have been promised we will meet again on the other sided. Right now, I imagine Doyle is scoping out a good lake or stream and I am sure him and Kelly are talking over old times. God bless Sandy, Little Doyle, Debbie, Carole, Becky and all of their families. Grandpa I just want you to know that I love you very much and I will miss you greatly. Theres not a time that goes by that I ever stopped thinking about you and Im sorry I never made it up there again to see you and grandma. I hate that its been five years since the last time I saw you and I never got to give you one last hug and you missed out on meeting Jaden but I know you are watching over us and you finally get to see him. You are a great grandpa and helped me when I was in need and I thank you so much for that. I will never forget the good times we had or the stories you told like who ate my big toe and the axe man in the woods when we went on the house boat trip. Mom tells me about the spoon good behind the moon and that you told her that we can find you with him but really I think you where always gonna be the spoon good behind the moon. So know when I look at the moon I will always think of you and the good times we had. I love you grandpa and I miss you so much. Im sorry I cant be there but know my heart is with you always. R.I.P. To Doyle Canada Family,

Doyle was a true friend that I have known all through grammar school and high school. He was an inspiration to me and my wife for what he could do since his accident; not what he couldn't do. Every time I would visit him in the hospital I always felt uplifted because of Doyle's faith in God and he knew what direction he was headed. He is in Heaven now; walking and leaping and praising God. I know I will miss Doyle as well as his family will too. He was one of the spearheads of the class of 1958, He added so much to the reunions that our class would have. Doyle was respected and loved by all he came into contact with. RIP Doyle and we shall meet again. May God surround his family at this time with Love & Comfort. Until we meet again my friend.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared,
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in good deeds,
Miss me…..but let me go.

A friend gave me this when I lost Zach, it gave me a lot of comfort, I hope it does to you and your family as well.
Doyle was an exceptional man, he'll be missed by many!
Love you all!! Maribeth (Crawford) Dunn
