Russell Lee England
1947 - 2014
Russell England, son of Katherine and Lloyd England born on March 30, 1947
passed away, Sunday March 30, 2014.
He grew up in the California Bay area cities of Oakland and San Lorenzo.Graduating from Arroyo High School in 1965.
Russ is survived by the love of his life, Sunny Lois England, his wife of 30 years.
Russ successfully assisted in raising 5 children: Robert, Samuel, Laura, Timothy and Jacob. He was a much loved "Papa" of 7 ornery grandchildren: Alex, Spencer, Anna, Nicholas, Zoe, Isabel and Lucas.
Russ served 30 years with the California Highway Patrol from 1970 to 2000, but found true happiness as a retiree at which he excelled.
My father was an avid fisherman, traveler and all around outdoorsman. His skill at cribbage was often bragged about (by himself) and his sense of humor and ability to organize just about anything will be sorely missed.
Please join family for an "Open House" Friday, April 4th at 4 p.m. at the family home. Call for information.
