Judge Kaiser was powerful because he was kind as well as brilliant. He touched many hearts, mine included.

I was privileged to be Judge Kaiser's Judicial Secretary. He was a down to earth man. Enjoyed the 49ers football team. When I did not understand his rulings he would re-write them because he felt it important that ALL people understand the Court and the business we do there. He always took the time to educate and guide me when I had questions, and there were many! We had good times and funny experiences. I would remind him of the need to smile every morning while he took the bench. "Joke of the day." Mrs. Kaiser and Judge were a Hoot, in listen to their life stories together. I recall reading his personal e-mails because he refused to log onto a computer. I got to know the children and grand children that way with the many pictures they sent and stories they told. He never gave up his paper-law library for the online one, he said there was noting like the feel of a book in your hand! He will be missed. ~RIP Judge E. Michael Kaiser, Your Honor~
