OUR FRIEND
This poem is for Our Friend,
Paul Eugene Ward...
Though no longer with us,
he's home with the Lord!
Our Friend was my teacher,
and he knew how to inspire...
A role-model and mentor,
whom I repect and admire!
He took the time to listen,
and truely understand...
He always had a kind word,
Ready to lend a hand!
Today, I honor our friend,
And let me make this clear...
This man was remarkable,
genuine and sincere!
We'll miss his sense of humor,
And the wisdom that he shared...
But recall the life-lessons, and remember how he cared!
We'll miss the sharp wit, And the infectious grin...
But won't soon forget,
The Love for Our Friend!
Ya see, Our Friend was so much more,
then what's in this poem...
I find comfort Dear Lord,
that he's finally home!
