Virginia Pierson Imhof
1917-2013
Virginia Pierson Imhof died peacefully in her sleep on March 28, in Port Angeles, WA. In 1978, Virginia and her late
husband Fred retired to the Olympic Peninsula from Pasadena, California, where Virginia worked as a School Nurse for the Pasadena Unified School System. The family worshipped at St. James Episcopal Church, and Calvary Presbyterian Church in South Pasadena. Virginia's lifelong wellness interests kept the family camping, hiking, and backpacking; Fred and Virginia cycled from Astoria, OR to Pueblo, CO as part of the 1976 Bikecentennial.
Virginia is survived by her five children: William, Martin, Virginia Ann, M. Heidi, and Eric; four grandchildren: Joshua, Anna, Eric P. and Drew, and great-grandchild Latesha, and many nieces and nephews and their families. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Port Angeles on Friday, July 5, at 1:00 p.m.

We plan a celebration for the remarkable person that was our late Mother. While I have moments of sadness for my personal loss, I can only feel wonder at the quality of her 95 years. Mom wanted a party to mark her passing. If you can join us on July 5th in Port Angeles, please do. If not, direct your thoughts in our direction. I'm certain the spirit of Virginia will bubble up and create a rippling pool expanding back in your direction. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to one of three places that sustained her during her last fourteen years: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, North Olympic Library Association, and Peninsula College. Contact me if you have questions.
