I Much too Much Miss Thee

As I go on by~
I can only imagine~
The soft green grass~
On the hill where you lie.

I can see from my path~
The flowers that sit on your knoll~
As for a fleeting moment my mind feels at home~
Knowing loving hands set them there ten fold.

I do not stop~
For it might hurt too much~
Relinquished now to only conceive~
A walk to visit your resting place where it be.

Upon your grave~
The dirt had been laid~
How quickly to cover you~
The grass grew to~
Still discern a different shade.

I know I never stop~
As I often go on by~
For I am not ready yet~
Since you have died.

I envision a closer look~
As I strain to see ~
The different grave stones~
That accompany thee.

Your stone has not been placed~
Only a few flowers~
To everyone's eyes~
Distinguish your grave.

I am sorry, yet so far~
I hasten not to stop~
For I know I can not handle~
Your now resting spot.

Just for now~
You must know I care~
For walking into where you lay~
I am not strong enough to be that brave.

Oh yes I know~
Your spirit is not there~
I do believe you are now happy and free~
Yet still your grave close up~
I can not bear to see.

As I go on by~
I can only imagine~
The soft green grass~
On the hill where you lie.

I can see from my path~
The flowers that sit on your knoll~
As for a fleeting moment my mind feels at home~
Knowing loving hands set them there ten fold.

I am sorry~
I know you were so good at visiting loved ones in~
The cemeteries. ~
I only hope you understand~
I can not as of yet~
Stop to see~
The resting spot of your body.

Again I continue on~
Not stopping to walk the green hill beyond~
Forgive me please~
For I much too much~
Miss thee.

DEAR FRIENDS~
GRIEVING~ And The
MOST DEPRESSING GROCERY SHOPPING EVER,
***And a THANK YOU from Me to You All for YOUR KIND AND THOUGHTFUL CONDOLENCES***

In the last two years I have grocery shopped for my elderly parents.
The grocery shopping became my chore when both my parents had disabling illnesses due to aging; as well I live with them, so for me to do the grocery shopping was one of the natural changes of events under the circumstances.

Today was the first time since my Dads passing I had to do the grocery shopping.
I was dreading it more than usual.
I had to hold back tears at many instances, because every time I turned around there was something I normally would had bought for my Father.
I just thought I would express that little mourning tid bit to you my friends, as away to heal.

I suppose for the most part I am doing ok.
I imagine that grieving comes in all different forms, and the lack of my Fathers presence will continue to surprise me as a loss for a long while; it is just that this grocery shopping trip struck me as a biggy.

Dear Friends~ Thank you all for being there for me during my time of loss and grieving. All your condolences have warmed and mended my heart in the last few weeks.
Friends always make a difference in getting through tuff times and the restoring of health whether it be physical or emotional health. You my loving friends have shown so much kindness that it almost leaves me speechless. ((((THANK YOU BIG TIME!)))))
Blessings to All and Pure Loving Hugs,
Lisa
PS.
I wish there was a way to put all my net friends condolences on here too. My Facebook friends have also given me overwhelming support.
Pss.
Miss you Dad...
