Tom was an inspiration to all he was in contact with. Growing up in the Olson Family, my parents taught me several things such as the difference between right and wrong, everyone deserves the benefit of a second chance, hard work and aspiration will drive you to achieve better things in life and family and friends are essential to a happy life and come first and foremost. Tom and my dad were the Yin and Yang of my development. My father always taught me to do the right thing, obey the law and watch out for my family. My uncle always taught me to question everything, push the envelope and occasionally to stop and smell the roses. Those two key figures in my life have molded me into the person I am today and that influence, thankfully, has been passed on to my children as well. They have had the benefit of knowing and living those influences as well. Tom was a quiet role model for us all, his life was dedicated to helping others achieve things they never would have on their own. My wife Ann hit the nail on the head yesterday when she said that about Tom. His lot in life was to help everyone he met one way or another. He did that just about every day of his life up to the day he passed. For that and a million other things, Tom will be forever loved and remebered and his legacy will live on because he poured his heart and soul into every building he built and project he worked on. Thanks for everything Tom, I know you're already working on Jesus' new deck and helping him to figure out how to transfer angles and use a nail gun!!!
