Bunny, 82, of Springfield, passed away May 1, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eugene, surrounded by her family & friends & the Love of God. She is & will be dearly missed.
Bunny was born in Torrington, WY to Perry Clay & Pearl Alice Jane Whitworth, January 14, 1936. She grew up in Springfield, OR & graduated from Springfield High School in June 1955. She was married to Irving Wise & they had 3 sons together, Danny, Irving "Tiger" & Tracy Wise. She was later married to Dean Friedeman and had a daughter, Christy Friedeman-Slaven. In 1985, she married Warren Larsen who passed away in 2001.
Bunny has always treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them, April Wise-Grimes, Maurice Wise, Angelique Canady, Steven Wise, Travis Wise & Elliott Blomquist, with 12 great-grandchildren.
In 1977, Bunny attended LCC where she trained in Silversmithing & Lapidary for 3 years. She then taught at the Willamalane Senior Center as their Lapidary instructor in the Rock Shop for many years. She later worked as a Hostess for 6 years at Red Lobster.
Her hobbies included riding & training horses, rock hunting, camping, lapidary, square dancing, traveling & garage sales. She has been a lifelong member of the Salvation Army
In 2010, Bunny was reunited with her high school Sweetheart and Love of Her Life, Gerald Norman Towne. They were joyfully & happily married August 28, 2010. Camp-outs, birthdays & holidays were spent together with Love, Laughter, Food & Fun with Gerald's 7 children, Forrest Towne, Lydia Pratt, Tony Towne, Lisa Sherrill, Anita Riggs, Loren Towne & Dion Towne, along with spouses, 16 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.
Bunny was preceded in death by 2 sisters & is survived by her brother, Wyatt Leroy Whitworth & his spouse, Denise.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Salvation of Army, 1275 Mill St, Springfield, Saturday, May 12th at 1:00pm. A potluck will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army-Springfield Corp.
