Donald A Hulti
Donald Alexander Hulti age 74 of Florence was born Aug. 05, 1939 and passed away March 26, 2014.
Donald Hulti was born August 05, 1939 at the Adams Hospital in Hibbing, Minnesota, to parents Arne A. and Peggy (Helga Perkola) Hulti of Keewatin, MN. Don lived in Keewatin until age 4, and then moved to Seattle, WA., when he started school; he spoke only the Finnish language. The family moved to Henderson, NV when Don was in the 9th grade. He graduated from Basic High School in Henderson. He moved to Keewatin in 1957 and went to work for the summer for Koivisto Automotive and stayed for 8 years. He met and married Madeleine Rebrovich (Nicky) in June 1964. They would have been married 50 years this June. In 1965, they moved to Lynnwood, WA, where he went to work for Kenworth Trucks in Seattle. In April 1966, Don and Nicky moved to Springfield, OR where Don went to work for Weyerhaeuser. He enjoyed fishing, elk hunting, camping, and being with his family. He belonged to the Springfield Elks for 35 years and was an associate member of the Florence Elks Lodge. He retired from Weyerhaeuser in 1999, and he and Nicky moved to Dunes City, OR. He is survived by his wife, Nicky, son Jason and wife Lori, children Erin and Jacob, of Astoria, OR, son Michael and wife Mary and children Taylor and Spencer of Ladysmith, B.C., and daughter Barbara and husband Scott, children Wyatt S., Brandon, and Wyatt A. of Springfield, OR. Don is preceded in death by his parents, and Brother Richard. At his request no services will be held. Remembrances may be made to the Florence Humane Society, 2840 Rhododendron Drive Florence, OR 97439. Burns's Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
