I am so sorry to hear of Dorene's passing. My late husband and I met Jim and Dorene through square dancing. They were the president then. What a gracious and lovely lady. May memories buoy you and God grant you comfort. Please know I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

We traveled with Jim and Dorene for a number of years, as well as square danced with them. What a wonderful lady she was. All my sympathies go out to Jim and the family.

Jim and Family, So sorry to hear about Dorene. Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. What fun we had playing cards when the girls & ours
were growing up. Think of you always.

Dear Millard Families,

I was so saddened to read of Dorene's passing. She was just a super talented human being.

I worked with Dorene at the US Emp of Lane Co CU. We both started off PT. We only worked together 1 day a week, the day after the credit committee met. Lots of loans to process. We just had such a great rhythm. What she didn't do, I did, & vs versa.

We had so much fun. We were both easily entertained, so laughing, we kept each other in tears.

What wasn't mentioned in her story, was her love of sewing and square dancing. We used to day dream what we would do if we didn't have to work. She said, "I would sew." She made countless square dance dresses & matching vests, for her whole family.

Maybe not many know, that Sandra & Sheila, had a triplet baby sister, Susan. I remember her telling me the story. She was expecting only 1 baby, so 3 babies, was a big surprise! You just never get over losing a baby, so was a sad story for her to tell.

Sandra & Sheila, babysat for me one summer. They would trade off weeks. It took me awhile but I eventually could tell them apart.

Dorene's laugh is ingrained in my heart & memories. I will never forget her.

Sincerest Condolences
Joan (Hale) Abbott
