Fred Griswold Obituary
He was born July 18, 1931 in Waldport, OR to Fredrick and Florence (Sawyers) Griswold. He grew up in Waldport and Harrisburg, OR and graduated from Harrisburg High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951 until 1955 as an Engineman 3rd Class. On October 1, 1965 in Harrisburg, OR, he married Marianne Vaughan who preceded him in death in February 2004. He worked in appliance repair from 1965 until his retirement in 1994.
Fred was a member of the Springfield Church of God and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Molalla Post #3973.
Fred is survived by sons, Jason Griswold (Beth) of Molalla, OR and Mark Trusty (Tina) of Fulton, MO; Daughters, Joanna Morris (Tim) of Pleasant Hill, OR, Sandra Griswold of Pleasant Hill, OR and Debbie Trusty (Jim) of Springfield, OR; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation is scheduled from 9:00AM until 12:00PM Friday September 22, 2017 At Springfield Memorial Funeral Home, 7305 Main St., Springfield, OR. A grave side service will follow at 1:00 pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
