Dr. Porter was my doctor and he delivered my only child who was a boy. I retained him as my physician until he quit general practice. I really enjoyed his quiet personality and manner.

Dr. Porter and family were our neighbors in Springfield for a couple of years +/-. He also was our family physician for a few years afterward. I can still remember him treating me at home once when I had something. Flu maybe. Sandy was a great playmate for awhile. We lost touch when the Porters moved to Eugene. I was probably 5 or 6 at the time.
I'm sorry for your loss. The obituary in the Register-Guard brought back some long forgotten memories.

Dr Porter was my physician all of my adult life and delivered my only child. I was so disappointed when he left practice. I liked and respected him as a physician and human being.
