I never met Skip, but my mom and I have been part of the community choir. Sir Walter Scott once said, "Death, the last sleep? No the final awakening." Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Stock family.
So sorry to hear the sad news about Skip. It wasn't that long ago that I met up with Skip in Lakeview while eating dinner one night. Christy pointed him out at an other table in the restaurant. We talked for a few minutes which brought back many fond memories from Precision Pine. Skip will be missed.
My husband and I are so very sadened to hear of your loss. I never met Skip, but talked with him many times on the phone. Skip was a dear friend to my boss, Rick Martson, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Skip on many occasions. He touched my heart and also my husband in so many ways. Skip took the time to ask me about my new life in Oregon and he was very interested to learn that my husband was a newly ordained Episcopal priest, called to St. Francis of Assisi in Wilsonville, OR. I am grateful that Skip and Tony were finally able to meet one another in person. It was quite by accident that they met and were able to talk with one another at the memorial service of Debbie Martson. Life offers strange and wonderful coincidences. It may not have been an accident that these two ordained Christian men should finally meet at the memorial service of a mutual friend? My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to you and your family. God bless you all. Pamela Petrotta
Sylvia amd family. What an awesome man your husband, dad and grandpa was. He will be missed very very much. May you carry on ALL that he taught you and instilled in your lives. May God rest his soul.
To the Stock Family, I extend to you all my sincere condolences for your loss. "In the path of righteousness there is life, and the journey in its pathway means no death." Proverbs 12:28
I did not know Skip, but I know parts of the Stock family. His legacy will live on! "Go rest high on that mountain"
We didn't know Skip personally but we have lived in Sweet Home for many years and know he has been a very positive influence to our community. We are sorry for your loss, Sincerely,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Skip was a good friend to me and to so many others. He helped me through a difficult time in my life as you know and I am grateful for his friendship and for yours. May our Lord bless you and keep you in His peace.
You and Skip have been on my mind and in my prayers so many times this last year. God bless you and the family.
I became became acquainted with Skip in the 1970s when I was managing a State Work Release center in Corvallis for the State Corrections Division. Skip and his family took one of our Work Release clients under their "wing" and provided an excellent opportunity for his return to society as a productive citizen.
The community as a whole is fortunate to have had Skip and his family's efforts to make the community safer through their outstanding work with prison inmates.

Joel and Family
Very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I am very grateful to have met your dad while I did some vacation relief work for Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. He was conducting a memorial service and I introduced myself and told him I competed against Joel in sports from middle school through Hi School. I could tell from visiting with him just how positive he spoke about his family and work, and most importantly God. Joel I will be thinking of you and your family for weeks to come. Rest in peace Mr. Stock
Our thoughts and especially our prayers for the family of Skip. And many good memories of college days.
