William (Bill) Rollin Curry was born January 4, 1952 in Eugene to William D. and Marilyn Curry. He lived there until he was 12 and then moved to Portland where he graduated with honors from Grant High School. He then attended the UO on a wrestling scholarship. For the next 40 years he lived in the Eugene-Springfield area and enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, hunting; anything that took him out into nature. He was an avid Duck fan and was an excellent pool player. He worked in roofing, construction and as a tax consultant.
He married Debbie Meatte in 1982 and they had their only child, Brooke Jessica, in 1983. After divorcing in 2004, he moved to Kauai, Hawaii. He passed away on October 29th, 2011 doing what he loved; having just watched the Ducks win a football game, he went for a hike and was visiting with some other hikers when he was struck by a fatal heart attack.
He is survived by his daughter Brooke Curry-Evans (Doug) and his brother Robert Curry (Melanie).
In lieu of a funeral or memorial service, his family chose to place his ashes in a few of his favorite spots. He will live forever in our hearts.

I met Bill in1970 while wrestling for Oregon. We met later hooting pool in Eugene. We became fishing buddies and shot on the same pool teams. He was truly happy in the woods, on the river, and with his pool shooting buddies. I have many great memories of Bill. Respectfully, Don Erb.
